Because I was not sure if her dress had sleeves or not, so "up her sleeves" may not have worked

 

I'm trying hard to figure out what she cast... it must be an AoE... but what wis-save AoEs are available to a second level sorcerer, warlock, or wizard?

Luck ? Me having luck ? Do you know about the "bad roll luck in fight" ? XD

 

Try playing a different style of character, like replacing Alas with a Barbarian or something.

 

You got like a 19 or something a while ago...

 

Power Word: Kill only effects one creature, and doesn't need a save.

 

Maybe he survives then?

 

And fails if they have over 100 HP. It's kind of trash, for a 9th level spell.

 

And Alice is not level 9 I think XD

 

Considering you could use that slot on something like Wish, it's definitely somewhat weak.
