Ragnar Mentioned By Nemcract Citizen

In Nemract there is a citizen who says the following:

(the giant tree he refers to is right above the underworld crypt dungeon)
I wanted to know who Ragnar is and found that he is supposed to be some legenday hero. It seems however that nothing is really know about him and his name has only been mentioned twice by NPC's however this is not one of these two.
Is this new?

 

This thread is getting off topic so allow me to answer your question. Ragnar is supposedly a "great hero" to the people of Wynn and is sort of like the new generation's Bob. I believe this text was added fairly recently, although I don't know when exactly. Not much is known about Ragnar, but he is assumed to be an important figure in the upcoming main storyline.

Huh...Ragnar is mentioned as being still alive by NPCs, but maybe he just outlasted Bob. I'm not sure to be honest.

He's a Bob-like character. Maybe he's one of the recruits or something.
If you complete the quest Maltic's Well and then talk to a specific Detlas citizen he says something along the lines of "Oh Ragnar would've normally done that, but you did it. Thanks!"
