they are only used when buying other mythics, they are used as a trade in, its not a second currency. mythics are flawed, they are very strong weapons that were balanced buy rarity. the demand is huge and the supply is tiny so the prices go up. mythics aren't the cause of the inflation but they aren't helping

Mythics ARE used as currency, and are recognized as such. Any mythic owner will accept other mythics as payment for the purchase of items, and all mythics, like bank notes, represent a certain amount of le.

If you trade a legendary against another legendary it's not really a currency XD

Barter.

 

Bartering is of course doable, but in every economy there exists a 'market price', which the bartering is centered on. For example, a pack of 16 gum in the US is worth about a buck, and will never sell for 10$+, even though it could.

All items within the wynn economy have a market value. Whether or not others accept those items as representing that full market value is a matter of choice. But, realistically speaking, you can always quicksell an item for a really low price to get some fast le in Detlas WC1.

At this point this is basically a flame war over the wynn economy

Sort of, we basically wrapped up the previous question, but I'm still curious to see what the community thinks. There remains a lot of 'the economy is shit' mentality in the poll, but very few people actually defending their position.

This is actually a pretty good debate out of a couple circular arguments but it's pretty good

 

A lot of peoples got better things to do than participating to a debate during these period of the year, so if there is a poll they answer and they go away, and most of the time they don't even read an answer. ^^

 

Is not like gold because you can increase the number of mythics but you can't increase the amount of gold.

 

Maybe Wynncraft should add a paper currency system (like banknotes to hold more than bankfulls of emeralds... (like they do in some other servers)
