Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

As you play, Stephanie begins to sing alongside you, her voice rather beautiful and fitting with the tune. While she can't sing at the speed you play, the she works her lyrics into fitting pace.

 

"A neko? So your kind did escape... I'm glad to hear."

 

"um, i might not be the same neko type youre thinking of. i come from earth!" Onyx says.

 

I eventually slow down and finish up, waiting Stephanie to do so as well before I say anything.

 

"Oh... I guess the ones that lived on our home did go extinct then. I always hoped that something would make it through."

 

Stephanie finishes quickly after, before blushing.

"S-Sorry, it just felt right to jump in and I got a little carried away." Stephanie says, embarrassed.

Onyx seems saddened, her ears lowering as she rubs up against Perry more, meowing mournfully.

 

I shrug.
"Nothing wrong with that. It's supposed to be a fun song. Hell, the name of it is 'I am my own Grandpa'."

 

Perry seems confused, petting Onyx more.

"She isn't talking, I am." The mantis toy relays to Onyx, moving slightly and therefore squeaking.

 

"That's...kind of strange. Is it about time travel?" Stephanie asks, confused.

"i know, its just saddening to hear that your kind died out in anothfur unifurse." Onyx says sadly.

 

"I'm not a neko... wait, you meant you. Yeah..."

 

"Incest."
I correct.
"A lot of it."

 

Onyx just relaxes in Perry's embrace, purring.

Stephanie looks a little sickened.

"Incest is so incredibly wrong." Stephanie says, shuddering.

 

I shrug.
"People make their own choices, I guess."

 

"Sorry about that."

Perry keeps hugging and petting, content.

 

"A-Anyway, let's continue the tour." Stephanie says, heading to the exit of the room.

A short while later, I enter the room again.

"The house is ready for Perry, here are your crystals to teleport there should you wish." I say, handing the queen a pair of crystals with runes etched into them. Some of the runes look different on each crystal, while others the same.

 

"If it makes you feel better, the song might've not even been about that. I couldn't hear most of the words, it's sung faster than it's played."
I admit, following.

 

"I just sort of made up my own lyrics as I went along." Stephanie says, blushing as she heads back to the front door, where the staircase lies. Stephanie ascends the tall staircase, dragging her hand along a wooden handrail.

 

"Well, you did a good job."
I compliment, still following.

 

Stephanie turns right at the top of the stairs, heading down a short hallway to a light purple door with a yellow moon symbol on it.

"Here's my room." Stephanie says, opening the door to her room. A strong smell of herbs, flowers, perfume and potion wafts out of Stephanie's room as the door opens, quite overpowering.

 

I clearly smell it, but I don't seem to care much. I enter the room, looking around.
