Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The papers explain the terms of how Perry will be looked after. It seems she'll be kept on Earth on private country land, under the watch of Shadows and care of Forest Guardians. The queen will be provided with a crystal that lets her travel to Perry's home and back again, as well as the king, and should any harm to Perry, she'll be treated immediately with high priority by skilled, professional doctors. The king or queen is able to cancel the contract at any time should they wish, and should both of them perish, the next legal guardian of Perry will inherit ruling over the contract unless the king and queen decide to arrange someone else to inherit it, which will require notification of the carers and guards of Perry. However, should nobody inherit the contract, Perry shall be looked after indefinitely until she wishes to leave the care herself.

The papers also describe other trivial parts of the terms of care, though one part does stand out to the queen. The care is completely free of charge.

 

"Is this funded by your dragons?" She asks, holding her hand out for the pen.

 

"We're fighting that."
I point to a giant horde of monsters being led by what appears to be a one hooded figure

 

"Dragons? No no no, it's funded by myself. It comes out of the palace's vault." I say, handing the queen the pen.

 

Xlentia pauses.
"Those look like illusions to me."

She signs the papers.
"I'm holding you to letting her keep that toy."

 

"Trust me, they're not."

 

Xlentia just rolls over into the horde before rolling back and trying to figure out where you are again.

 

"Look, why are you here? Shouldn't you and your servants be trying to stop this 'Hive Master'?"

 

"I do what I want when I want." She says. "I'm here because I want to be, and I'm not direly needed elsewhere." She shrugs.

 

"She can keep all the toys she wants." I say happily, holding my hand out for the papers.

 

She hands everything back.
"I'm putting a lot of trust into you, with that..."
"Can I have a fluffy bird, too?!" Perry asks happily.
"I don't know if you really want a raptor as a pet..."

 

I desummon the papers, "Thank you. I'll make sure Perry is very happy." I say, smiling.

 

She nods.
"I hope you're right."

 

"Well it would be appreciated if you could leave. I need to put the barrier back up fast."

 

"I'll go an make sure her home is set up, and get you a pair of crystals for you and your husband to teleport there." I say, turning to leave.

 

"Why? Did you do something wrong and now everyone wants to get you?" She asks.

"Thank you. One other thing... do you think you can arrange something where she can meet the actual Maralune?"

 

"The actual Maralune? Isn't that the name of your world?" I ask, confused.

 

"I explained earlier. I don't trust anybody who is not my kin. I prefer to be safe then sorry."

 

"Did you make this place?"

 

"I didn't, actually. I think the freezer made it or something, I just stumbled into the tunnel while searching it one day." Stephanie says.
