Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Those were Shadows, and they mean you no harm. The crystal should've teleported you to their palace, where you can find medical help. Your husband is clearly badly wounded, and the Shadows can save his life if you let them. If you wish, I can take you to the medical ward where you can find the help you need." Tirra offers.

 

"Are they willing to heal the wound they inflicted upon me?" She asks, standing up which reveals a cut to her torso. "I could not see, so I looked for light. As I reached for my mother's lantern, they destroyed it, cut me, and I found myself bleeding back here. I love my husband, but we're nothing without the other. It would be futile if I sacrificed myself to save him."

 

"A war is coming and I cannot risk any casualties." I say to myself

 

"Shadows are weak to light, it hurts them badly. However, I'm sure they'll heal any wounds you, your husband and children have. I'll make sure of it." Tirra says kindly.

 

"Uhm... Naoto?" Lauin asks as the sky darkens.
"...you didn't tell us you pissed them off."

She hesitates.
"You're not giving me much of a choice, it would seem. I would need another crystal."

 

Artemis steps in.

"I can take you there, you don't need another crystal." Artemis says.

 

The queen steps back.
"...I suppose."

 

Artemis cuts open a portal with Shadow Katana near to the king, motioning the queen to step through as Tirra picks the king up.

 

She follows, quickly losing her balance due to her virtual blindness and her wound.

 

Artemis holds on to the queen's arm after entering, guiding her to the elevator as Tirra carries the king.

 

She stumbles a bit, but makes it without tripping.

 

Artemis starts turning the dials in the elevator while Tirra looks to see where the children are.

 

They didn't seem to follow.

 

Tirra seems slightly concerned, before Artemis teleports the group to the medical ward. I step out of Artemis and walk over to the desk, talking to the receptionist. A small group of doctors comes to collect the king and queen shortly after, Tirra carrying the king.

"Please come with us, miss." One of the doctors says to the queen.

 

She hobbles over as the doctor asks her to.

 

I look around for Stephanie, going up a level if I can't find her.

 

The doctor takes the nurse into a room with a hospital bed, and a couple of other doctors as well as a nurse.

"Please, sit down." The doctor says.

You eventually find Stephanie on the second level up at one of the tables, practising pyrokinesis with her tome open, a strange candle that seems to be lit with water instead of fire nearby.

 

She does as instructed, almost missing the bed.

 

Interested, I mostly silence my footsteps and find a seat next to her.

 

"Now, where are your wounds?" The doctor asks kindly.
