Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Can you walk to the human's settlement and speak to the king and queen," Artemis says slowly, again punctuating her speech through had movements, "Say to them 'The crystal the girl with green hair gave you leads to safety and help, and she can be trusted, as can you and your species'"

You can't seem to find it before a higher-up looking air guardian walks over to you.

"You seem lost. Looking for somewhere or someone?" The air guardian asks, smiling kindly.

 

"Yes, I'm looking for the library."
I say politely.

 

"I'm not that stupid. Can you carry me up the stairs?"

 

"Oh, well you won't find it down here. It's on the third floor, though you're welcome to use one of the elevators for faster transport." The air guardian says happily.

"Sure I can, but we'll have someone accompanying us," Artemis says with a kind smile, "That means you can have a new friend!"

 

"Thanks."
I smile.
"Could you point me to an elevator? I'm not here often."
I admit.

 

"They're scattered about in various areas. There's one just at the end of this hallway, head that direction and you'll see it in the wall." The air guardian says, pointing with both her wing and left hand down the hallway.

 

"Okay! Are they the dark blob inside of you?"

 

"No, that's someone else. The person to accompany us should be arriving soon." Artemis says happily.

A short while later, a large boulder rolls toward Artemis and the raptor, slowing down to a stop infront of them before collapsing to dust. Once the dust clears, Tirra is easily visible.

"Hey Artemis! Long time no see!" Tirra says happily.

"Nice to see you, Tirra! I didn't realise Aj had called for you." Artemis says, smiling.

"He didn't specifically, but our boss said he needed someone to represent the Realm of Shadows and Guardian community and I thought I'd take the offer." Tirra says, shrugging.

 

The raptor tries to hide behind a tree before trotting up to Tirra.
"Hello, are you the friend?" They ask, the dust and rock turning an off color as it too is affected by the Ruin.

 

"Yes, I'm Artemis' friend. My name's Tirra." Tirra says, giving the raptor a light pet.

 

Tirra being an earth guardian, she winds up knocking the raptor over.
"You're awful strong, miss! Are you a chief too?" They ask, getting up again.

 

"Sorry about that! I'm not a chief, though I am an elite of my group. I'm an earth guardian, and we tend to be quite strong naturally." Tirra says, smiling.

 

"Well... I guess you'll definitely be able to carry me up stairs, then." The raptor says, climbing up a tree trunk and jumping onto Tirra's shoulder.

 

Tirra isn't affected by the weight of the raptor at all, standing as still as a statue as they jump onto her shoulder.

"If you need to be carried, I'm your gal." Tirra says proudly.

"Shall we get going, then?" Artemis asks.

"Sure, if you're ready." Tirra says.

Artemis and Tirra start heading back to the human's settlement.

 

The raptor makes themself comfortable on Tirra's shoulder, watching the chaos as the trio walk through to the stronghold.

 

The pair walk through the marketplace as they aim for the castle, looking around.

 

It's still torn up, food and plants withered and twisted. A few merchants who were selling raptor talon daggers took their own life, it seems.
"Are we... killed for fun?!" The raptor asks, nervous.

 

Artemis walks over to one of the dead merchants, checking them over to try and decipher how long ago they died.

"I'm not sure, but this place seems awfully grim." Tirra says, looking around.

 

"The Ruin works really quick..." The raptor sighs.

One of them's still bleeding.

 

Artemis tries to stop the bleeding, spending some of her power to give the merchant a constant stream of life energy to try and heal their wounds and bring them back.
