Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Stored somewhere extremely safe." I say through Artemis.

"The king was mortally wounded, and the queen was in shock last time I saw them. I gave them a crystal to take them to the Realm of Shadows so they can be healed, but I am not sure if they've used it." Artemis says.

 

"I rather be on the safe size. Kitsunes can be rather... violent when agitated, specially those are more mature."

 

"I can trust you with that."
Pause.
"How Stephanie been? I haven't seen her in a while."

 

"Did you come off trustworthy to them?"

"Well, how about this; if your people get themselves killed while trying to be involved in our affairs, we will not have that tarnish our views of the rest of your people."

 

"She's been studying her magic and alchemy both at home and in the shadow palace library. I haven't spoken to her recently, but from what I hear she's happy." I say through Artemis.

"I brought the king back to life with what power I had, and offered them help. I was in a hurry though, so I tried my best."

 

"Should you maybe send someone back to tell them the crystal doesn't lead anywhere bad?"

 

"Think she'd mind if I paid a visit?"

 

"Hm...probably. I'll have Aj send someone." Artemis says.

"Probably not." I say through Artemis as she pulls out a black crystal, etching runes into it before offering it to you.

 

"Thanks."
I smile, taking and pocketing the crystal.
"I just need to let one of he chiefs know I'm going for a bit."
I say, walking off and,

"Maybe send another willing raptor, too? Reassurance they're not savages ought to help."

They're still talking back near the portal, ignorant of the whole mess taking place.

 

"I'll send a raptor and have someone protect them so they're not harmed going to see the royalty." Artemis says happily, before looking around for the raptor that came to see her.

 

I approach them.
"Hey. You guys look like you didn't see what happened."

 

They're just sitting off to the side.

"We saw, but we're trying to stay back and avoid the blunt of it. We already talked it out with the Matriarch."

 

Artemis walks over to the raptor.

"Hey, do you think you could deliver a message for me?" Artemis asks.

 

"Alright. Well, I'm going to be departing for a bit. You'll be fine?"

 

"A what?" They ask, standing up.

"Should be."

Artemis thinks for a moment.

"Can you say words to two people for me." Artemis says slowly, punctuating her words with her skeletal hands.

You're transported inside the Shadow Palace in the Realm of Shadows, outside the throne room. A few servants walk about, and a small group of water guardians mop the floors.

 

"Yes, I can talk to people." They say.

 

I walk around, looking for the library.
