Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis heads up the central staircase, taking the first balcony she sees.

 

Left or right?

 

Right(...?)

 

The first doorway on the right balcony is... locked. She can sense someone behind it, though.

 

Artemis knocks on the door.

 

"Th'ell? I thought I hit quota..." They grumble, opening the door.
"Who th'ell are you?"

 

"Hello. I'm looking for the royalty." Artemis says calmly.

 

"Find th'stairs yourself!" They grunt. "Nobody's allowed'ta help you with that."

 

"You seem stressed. Is there something wrong?" Artemis asks calmly.

 

"I dun'get paid enough fer this shit." They grumble, slamming the door and walking off further into the room.

 

"Well sorry... anyway back to the topic at hand. They were here for Anne but the question is why kill your queen Laze. She didn't know Anne... or did she?" I ask Anne

 

Artemis remains confident, looking around for any hints to where information on the royalty's whereabouts may be on the right balcony.

 

"Because mom wanted to lock me up and force me to stay in the palace. Technically I never left the walls of the palace since I burned them down, so win-win."
"We didn't kill her...?"

There doesn't seem to be anything, at least nothing on a map.

 

"Wait... are you saying that the ex-queen of the dragons is your mother?!"

 

Artemis looks up to the top of the castle from the balcony, leaning over the edge slightly if she needs to.

 

"Oh, wrong queen."
"I was going to say, you've never been here before, so it couldn't have been her." Laze comments.

The lighting seems off, almost as if the balcony leads to another staircase that just keeps going up...

 

Artemis takes a deep breath, before stepping out onto where she thinks the staircase is.

 

"Then who is your mother Anne?"

 

The rail at the end of the balcony seems to be merely painted, the staircase continuing on upwards to a narrow corridor that's dimly lit.

Artemis uses her life sensing abilities as she walks down the hallway, curious.
