Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Sorry about that."
I say, landing, and letting go.
"Well, you're back."

 

The raptors nearby seem flustered.
"Don't eat too much, that's all the food we have!" They shout.

She shakes herself loose, falling to the ground.
"Well, that's that. Thanks for getting me out of there, though that girl gave me a fluffy bed that felt amazing."

 

"So, do you swear to the oath of confidence?"

 

"Yeah, the beds that certain entities have are constructed, rather than just put together."
I say, taking out my rag and wiping most of the blood from my chest.

 

Artemis, upon hearing this, just goes for the hearts of the corpses, draining their blood and eating them.

After eating a few hearts, Artemis starts to look a little better, but heavily reduces the amount of corpse she eats before stopping entirely, shaking slightly as she slides her mask back down over her bloody mouth.

 

"Is it really that bad?" They ask, looking at you skeptically. "Not much could possibly concern a god-king that I can think of."

There are still a dozen deep talon holes.
"Could you bring us beds someday?"

The Matriarch seems to have turned away.
"Well... you feeling any better? Better enough to make it to the dungeon?"

 

Artemis nods, "I-I just need b-blood now..." She says, sounding a little shaken.

 

"I could show you how to make them. I won't give them to you. But that's for another day."
I take off my shirt, locating the main area of holes.

 

"There's the ground, or the dungeon. Take your pick."

"Okay, then. Thanks."
The holes look like someone tried to give you a hug with talons and couldn't make it all away around your torso, so they just dug into you.

 

I put my shirt back on, but this time backwards, as to cover up the holes.
"Alright, let's get back to Akli'il. He's worried about you."

 

"Dungeon." Artemis says, lifting herself up with her scythe.

 

"Well, it is imperative that you do not speak of what I am to tell you."

 

"I swear secrecy on the condition that I am allowed to break this oath if holding back the information endangers me or another one of my kind."

"It's a ten minute walk. You ready?"

"Ugh... of course he would be. Alright, I'm going."

 

"I'll follow you."

 

Fuela sighs before heading off towards Akli'il's territory, walking fast but not bothering to jog.

 

"Sorry. Just making sure you're safe."
I say, following.

 

"I get it. You probably went through a lot of shit just to retrieve me." She says, keeping pace.

 

Artemis nods, keeping herself steady with her scythe.

 

The Matriarch starts heading back to her forest, waving off a few raptors that eye her.

 

"I have had few more difficult experiences."
