Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You want to drink him dry too? Nonstop crying, I could probably just pass it off as disturbing the peace." She yawns.

 

"Was the prisoner kept away from her child?" Artemis asks, holding onto her scythe for support.

 

"Yeah."
Pause.
"I'm going to have to call it in again soon. I didn't eat much and I'm tired again."

 

I keep specific lookout for doors or other crossways as I go along the alley.

 

"The reason the child was crying was because it was away from the mother," Artemis says, looking at the drained prisoner's corpse, "What did she do to become imprisoned?"

 

You only encounter one, but it's a solid metal door.

 

I keep moving along the alleyway until it ends, or something else.

 

"Stole food rations from five other families. It was troublesome to make sure those families didn't starve."

The alley ends onto the main road, after a while.

 

I motion for Fuela to stay, before going onto the main road and seeing how many people there are.

 

"Maybe she was just doing it for her child..." Artemis says solemnly.

 

"We already had accounted for her child in her rations. However, she wasn't going to be executed until we found that she was the healthiest prisoner, thus would provide the most benefit from being drained."

Absolutely none outside, but dozens of people watching from windows.

 

I smile and nod to the people I see, then start walking and looking around like I'm looking for something, then head back into the alley.

 

It doesn't appear to raise suspicion.

 

I shake my head to Fuela, motioning her to get a bit farther back into the alley.

 

She retreats, staying along the shadowed edge of the narrow alley.

 

I motion for her to come towards me.

 

She does, still silent as she looks up at you.

 

I put on knee to the ground, and whisper in her ear.
"I need you to lift your arms up. You're then going to clap down your arms on my hands, and I will lift you from your upper body. From there, I'll fly off, with my back to the ground. I need you to stay silent during the flight. Okay?"

 

"So you chose a mother of a child to be killed, and didn't account for the child? Is the child just going to be left to grow up motherless?" Artemis asks.

 

"In the event you killed her, I was going to raise them myself, but if you need more you could drain him, too."

She nods, raising her wings.
