Btw, is Alas a Bladelock, Tomelock, or Chainlock?

I know he has Alfred, but I don't think he counts as a proper Pact of the Chain familiar.

Still doesn't answer an important question. Which pact you choose determines quite a bit about your playstyle.

 

Warlock, Pact of Chain.

If you say Alfred is not a good pet I will kill you. (One Hellish Rebuke and you're dead :D)

 

A. Pact of the Chain dictates that your familiar have, or at least be able to take on, the form of an imp, sprite, quasit, or psuedodragon, and has certain magical abilities. Alfred's not bad, but you're not using him to the extent that most Chainlocks use their familiar.

B. You can only Hellish Rebuke me if I damage you. You can't attack me directly with it. Also I can survive a 2nd level hellish rebuke, barely, unless you get incredibly lucky.

 

I play for fun, not to have an overpowered character.

I know how it work, I already used it 2 times, it failed 2 times. (When you do 6 damages and that you know the maximum is 30 you're happy.)

 

I'm aware... still, keep in mind that Alfred had more use that being a mouse... He's the perfect spy, for instance.

 

He already did that against Kinte, but it was Kinte, so it was not very useful XD

 

I knock an arrow, slip out from behind the trees, fire it at the ghoul nearest the wall, then duck back to cover.

Attack roll: 19 + 3 dex + 2 proficiency = 24

Damage: 2 + 3 dex = 5 piercing damage.

 

Wait, what spells do you have?

 

@SPYROHAWK doesn't like to deal with prepared spells, so, if I want to get technical, this might mean I can cast from the entire cleric spell list of my level?

Otherwise my current prepared spells are:

Cure Wounds - healing
Healing Word - quicker healing
Bless - basic party buff
Guiding Bolt - magic laser
Hold Person - basic paralysis
Sanctuary - makes one annoyingly hard to hit, but ends upon attacking
Lesser Restoration - removes some annoying statuses (I prepared this to help the kids)
Faerie Fire - outlines things, negates invisibility, gives attack advantage
Burning Hands - fire
Flaming Sphere - more fire
Scorching Ray - even more fire - possibly my favorite spell - so many ways to be made op...

I don't have the spell slots to cast the ones I've crossed out. I only have 2 first level slots left. I can also cast the cantrips Guidance, Light, Sacred Flame, and Spare the Dying.

 

Good to know... My tactician-esque habits are acting up...

I've never used prepared spells before so I had no clue how they worked. But since I've been playing a Paladin I've gotten familiar with the system, so I would like you to use prepared spells now.

Also you forgot to mention that Bless is the best level 1 spell a divine caster can have prepared

 

Okay, that's fine. Casting straight from the list is quite op...

 

Yeah. I'm more used to the spells known system of Druids, Warlocks, and Sorcerers than the prepared spells system used by Cleircs, Paladins, and Wizards (which are kind of both). But now that I've figured it out, I get it
