"Not really."

"He went to the stronghold. Not sure why."

 

"Thank you for your information." I say, flying towards the village.

 

A wyvern, werewolf, and lamia stop you at the gate.
"Halt! What is your name and business here?" The werewolf asks, aggressive as the other two guards step back a bit.

 

"Are you going to ask him when he gets back?"

 

"Dominus Terrae, to gather information." I say, saluting the werewolf as a sign of respect.

 

The werewolf hesitates.
"I feel like we've heard that name before..."
"No, you're just imagining things again. Hopefully the prophet comes soon, because she might be able to fix that." The wyvern sighs.
The lamia rolls her eyes before speaking. "Title?"

"If he gets back. It's been a few days now."

 

"Does it matter?" I ask.

 

Artemis seems to disappear.

About an hour and a quarter later, Artemis approaches the human's castle dragging a lifeless body that looks exactly like Elkir. A bite mark is visible on his neck.

"I have brought the corpse of the troublemaker you requested me to kill." Artemis calls.

 

"Oh."

 

"Yes."

"...What?"

"What? We just..."
"Hey, find that robot, that corpse was a fake!"
"Lady, we don't know what you're doing, but we want nothing of it!"

 

"I have done all you have asked. I hope you do not mind that I drank all of his blood to kill him, though." Artemis says calmly.

 

"This doesn't add up. The robot you are acquainted with brought in a mangled corpse a few minutes ago. What the hell are you two doing?!"

 

"Then he was clearly faking you. Did you check the corpses DNA? Besides, I have proof of the kill in this crystal." Artemis says, holding up a white crystal.

 

"Actually, it looks more like you're faking us. The corpse was cut up and mangled, which is exactly how we saw that raptor die."

 

"Nothing. Just, lead the way."

 

"I suggest you check my memories in this crystal. I met the raptor, alive, and killed him." Artemis says, serious, still holding up the crystal.

 

She flings her door open as Fuela trots into her room.

"I don't care what you did, there's something wrong. You're not getting in, and he's going to be getting out."

 

I follow.

 

"If you won't let me in, I will use my powers to restore his life, as the deal was entry on his death. If my entry is denied, then the deal shall be reversed." Artemis says, crossing her arms.

 

"Feel free to revive him. Deal's off."

There's a hatch under a rug, enchanted to appear seamless.
