Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Nyx's jaw disconnects, before her mouth seems to become sewn shut, skin growing over where it once was. Yet, at the same time, Nyx feels like she never opened her mouth at all.

 

Forbidden from laughing, Nyx just lets her 'torture' happen.

 

Nothing else happens, Nyx is just trapped in the blackness. Days pass with nothing happening.

 

Nyx doesn't seem to mind...

She shows up at the shadow palace.
"Is your king messing with me?" She asks a guard bluntly.

 

The guard seems to ignore her.

 

Nyx rolls her eyes, leaving again.

Sapphire uncloaks outside the throne room.
"Hey, did Aj ever get told that Xephyr died?" She asks.

 

"No, but that's terrible news to hear. Would you like to tell him yourself?" The guard asks.

 

"It should've already gotten to him." Sapphire grunts. "No, I wouldn't."

 

"I'm sorry, is there a problem, miss?" The guard asks, concerned about Sapphire's attitude.

 

"...No." She says, cloaking and vanishing. "Except for ignorance."

 

The guard shrugs, entering the throne room.

 

Sapphire seems to have left.

 

The guard explains to Shadow Stephanie and I that Xephyr is dead, having had Sapphire ask about it, and the pair of us express concern and sadness.

 

...cue no further reactions or signs of being spied on.

 

Everyone gets on with their lives until interrupted.

 

"Ugh, you little."
I cast lighting magic to stun Anne while my fur starts growing back

 

This straight-up knocks her out into a twitching fur heap.

-meanwhile-
Kiin tugs at Aquira's sleeve.
"Why can't I go with you?!" She pouts.

 

"It's simply too dangerous, Kiin. Katie will look after you, don't worry." Aquira says, giving Kiin a kind smile.

 

"No! I want to go!" She pouts, gripping Aquira's sleeve harder.

 

"Kiin, I'm doing this for your own good. If you come, you'll get hurt very badly," Aquira says, "Please, Kiin, do this for me, too."
