"Tsch, pitiful. That doesn't do you any good." Nyx scoffs. "Anyhow, now that I know your healers can't stop this, I'll just see about tweaking the energy isolator in that to prevent all magical and natural abilities entirely. Thanks for the research data... now how do I get back home?"

Anne lets loose a jet of flame, burning your fur in the process as she tries to get you to let go.

"Like...?"

 

"You came from the Anubi's realm right? Just use the portal in Xlentia's palace." Eve and I say, opening a portal to the void for Nyx.

 

"Thanks." Nyx says. "Now, if you ever want to try torture my way, I'll have you watch. As for the relic... I was going to lighten up on bargaining, but after you graciously pinned that incident on me, I think I won't. Hopefully I see you soon." She says, walking through the portal.

 

"From further calculations, you are not entirely to blame," Eve primarily says, "While your actions and inactions may have played a role in what happened, it is clear that there is an external force involved here. Many beings like to point blame first so they have the blame allocated to something they can punish, however I suspect the blame being allocated to you was a hasty decision in a moment of stress. I am sorry the blame was allocated to you, as you are not the driving force behind this incident."

 

Nyx pauses.
"Aj, take notes. Your robot is currently better at negotiating with my homeworld's inhabitants than you are." She says before leaving completely.

 

There's a strange sense of unease in the air once Nyx arrives back in her homeworld, the sky looking darker than it should be.

 

Nyx smiles.
"You chased me home, didn't you?" She whispers, stopping in the forest.

 

There's no response.

 

Nyx just heads home, picking up a few humans on her way and tossing them to the twenty demons waiting expectantly at her door.

 

There's a sense of unease the entire time, the sky never lightening.

 

"Lucy."
"Yes?"
"How is your strength these days?"
"I'm itching for a fight."
"Tends to absorb energy from attacks. You have backup from... someone."
"Nobody cycles faster than a prismatic casting chain."
"...We'll see." Nyx says, going inside and shutting her door.

 

The moment Nyx shuts her door, a massive hole opens up in the floor leading into a pitch black pit, Nyx being forced down into it as everything goes black; Nyx losing connection with the world, any telepathy causing feedback and pain.

 

Nyx looks around, smiling.
"Coward."

 

There's nothing to see.

Nyx feels weaker than before, the darkness seeming to sap away at her abilities, seeming to wrench her to the ground like the gravity suddenly got a lot stronger.

 

Nyx, unarmed, just shrugs.
"You want to see me beg, grovel, suffer. Well, I have news for you..."
She smiles, letting one hand start to drip with poison.
"...I'm already dead."

 

Nothing happens, it's just black everywhere, though strangely, the poison seems to turn to boiling hot lava, burning away at Nyx's hand.

 

Nyx doesn't flinch.
"Let me know when you're done."

 

Nyx's words seem to appear in front of her, forming a sword that bisects her. Blood rapidly spews out of Nyx's upper and lower body, despite her being dead, and Nyx feels her soul being bisected too.

 

It still doesn't warrant a reaction, it seems. She just starts laughing harder and harder.
