"Depends on his ideas. It will include him in battle, however."

Crystal opts to head back inside the palace, going back on the other path.

 

The water guardian keeps a smile throughout, despite the obvious pain he goes through.

"Goodbye." The water guardian manages to say before he dies.

"Next prisoner!" The Shadow calls.

The next prisoner brought in seems to be a middle aged female earth guardian, kicking and crying.

"M-My baby! Please! She needs me! I-I can hear her cries for me!" The earth guardian sobs as she's tied to the chair in the room.

"Please! Extend my sentence! Torture me! J-Just don't kill me! My n-new born baby needs me! She can't survive on her own without me! They were just keeping me here until she was born!" The earth guardian pleads to Nyx, her eyes flooded with tears, "C-Can't you hear her? S-She needs me!"

 

"I don't think he ever has any ideas..." Gau grumbles.

One problem; Crystal seems to have been a bit disoriented considering the path has not been flat.

Nyx smiles.
"You wanna try to save her?" She asks the forest guardians. "That is half the reason I wanted to come down here."

 

The forest and death guardians step into the room, prepared.

 

"He's got a few."
I reassure.

Crystal tries his best to get back to the palace anyways.

 

"I'll start with one unit. If you can't save them from a single microorganism, then you can't save them from a full on cut." Nyx says, again barely breaking the Earth Guardian's skin as she begins to feel the toxin spread rapidly.

"What, kill or murder?"

He finds himself even more lost after the same amount of time. Better turn around and head back.

 

"I think disliking me is also another one of them."

He does so, trying to get his bearings.

 

Everyone around you chuckles in agreement.

There aren't any bearings to get until he arrives back at the palace a couple hours later.

 

One of the death guardians bites into the neck of the earth guardian, draining her blood as the other death guardian focuses on locating the toxin and forcefully guiding it. The forest guardians surround the chest of the death guardian with vines, purifying his blood. As soon as the death guardian drinks the toxin and it enters his body, it's destroyed through the forest guardian's magic.

 

"Nevertheless, he isn't particularly mentally impaired, so his thoughts do have some reason behind them."

He decides to stay in the palace after that, looking around.

 

The toxin doesn't seem to respond to the foceful guidance, and seems to be attracted to the purification from the vines. In both cases, terrible things happen; the death guardian's neck and head quickly swell as the toxin seems to simply ignore the destructive effects and absorb the benefits of the forest guardian magic and start to dissolve from the inside out as the toxin starts to erupt violently, partially eroding their soul before Nyx starts to panic.
The earth guardian simply feels the toxin spread faster, work faster, and start dissolving faster as Nyx cringes.
"Shit, I forgot to tell you not to try and suck the toxin out of them... uhm... I need to bleed them to get it off their soul." She says, unsheathing a plain dagger.

"You sure?" Gau asks.

Nothing new. Beautiful statues, weapons, treasure piles, and books, but nothing new.

 

The skin simply melts away from the death guardian's head and neck, and any other affected areas as he removes his fangs, looking at Nyx with a doubtful look.

The earth guardian screams in pain, sobbing.

 

"Fairly certain."

Crystal walks around, looking for the map.

 

She sheathes the dagger.
"Nevermind. That's convenient." She says, still a bit out of it. "Uhm... please tell me the prisoner is meant to be executed... you made five minutes into one minute for her." Nyx utters, looking at the now slowly liquifying Earth Guardian.

"Whatever you say, I guess..."

The map says there's a vault, mess hall, and a few other old broken machines that take up entire rooms of their own.

 

"She was due to be executed. She got pregnant, so she was allowed to give birth before she was killed." The death guardian says.

As the earth guardian sobs her last tear, Nyx seems to hear a baby's cry in the distance, echoing through the halls of the dungeons.

 

"Even crazy men have motives."

Interested, Crystal goes to check out the machines.

 

Nyx just smiles.
"Good. I was worried I'd have to try and act remorseful."
Pause.
"You want to try again on another prisoner, now that you've been warned not to suck the toxin out of them?"

"To stir up more mayhem?"

As the map said, they're all broken, but they seem to have once been functional for... hell if you can guess. Why would anything need to be Xlentia-big for someone human sized?"

 

"Mainly because they believe it's right."

Crystal opts to not think about it and search for the vault.

 

"How can anyone-"
"Just... go with it." Orchid pleads.

Obviously, the door's well hidden. The only clue he has is that it's on the left side of a highway.

"Sorry, it's hard to remember anything with demons on your mind!" Nyx denies.
Upon hearing the shadow, she turns to him with an evil smile.
"I think you're not worth trying to save." She says. "Can you guys step out? I think I want to watch this wimpy pansy wilt."

 

"Would've been nice to know before..." The other death guardian says quietly, his arms crossed.

The next prisoner is dragged in, a rather rough looking Shadow.

"What's this? Some gay forest party? Fack off you ugly slag." The Shadow says, glaring at Nyx.
