Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You'll be testing on a small variety of beings, so you might get different results both ways." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Thank you. Also, I will warn the healers; if they try to siphon the poison out, they will be afflicted with it and probably die as well." Nyx says, turning and starting to walk out.

 

"We'll see." I say, smirking.

A Shadow in somewhat regal looking clothing waits outside the throne room, looking at Nyx when she exits.

"Ah, Demigoddess Nyx, I'm your escort to the dungeons." The Shadow says.

 

She nods.
"My mother's poison awaits for your prisoners." She says, following.

 

"We've gathered the greatest healers we have on hand. I don't think your poison will do much to them personally." The Shadow says as he leads Nyx.

 

"Thoughts?"

Crystal takes the offer, getting up on her staff.

 

"We will see. My mother has tested this against Gaia's healing abilities. I believe your healers can save no more than half of the infectable specimens." Nyx says. "They must also be careful with how they interact with it; if they infect themselves, they will die before their time."

Linoa gets on and takes off.
"Want me to drop you off so you can explore on your own?"

 

"Oh, your Gaia is different from our Gaia. The healers we have are completely immune to poisons, acids, viruses and such." The Shadow says as he walks.

 

"Immune? Heh... we shall see." Nyx says, unsheathing one of her scimitar and licking the edge, as if to make sure the poison's still there.

 

"Right."
I check to see if there's an available number of watchmen or troops in general on the report.

"Uhh..."
Crystal thinks, looking down and around.

 

Roughly 125 watchmen during any shift, and the army seems about 25000 strong.

Linoa's hovering over the outside of the city, a few dragonlings visible playing in the valley below the cliff.

 

"Do you know how many soldiers we have?"

"I'll go with you."
Crystal decides.

 

"Five hundred raptors from Aral'hrah, and the Mantis guard has about two thousand left."

"Okay." Linoa says, flying towards and through the portal, following a trace of voidlight as she flies outside the palace.

 

"And from Akli'il, possibly?"

Crystal looks around as she flies.

 

"Another 400 at most, according to Gau."

The void seems to be a tangle of creatures and ruins, with no clear sense of up or down. It's just an odd conglomeration of... something.

 

"I very much doubt any virus or poison could scathe them. Their bodies are built for it, like tardigrades in a way." The Shadow says.

 

"If they are immune to it, then they better prepare for my wrath. I will not let mother's death go unavenged!" Nyx says with a slightly sinister tone.

 

"But...they didn't kill your mother...did they?" The Shadow asks, confused.

 

"I don't care if they themselves didn't. I promised I would carry on my mother's motto - If one, all." She says, annoyed. "Now please, let's change subjects."

 

"If one, all?" The Shadow asks, confused, "I can't help but be a little concerned for the safety of the palace's healers."

The Shadow seems to be idly playing with a black crystal in his right hand.
