Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Give me a moment." I say, opening a telepathic link with the Hydra.
"Say, did you have to eat a flower when you took over the village?"

 

"Well, that's... something."
After what seems like forever the duo finally reach the top of the mountain

 

"Right, you never asked. Her name's Emerald, and you can find her if you want, but personally, I'd rather see the report my friend conjured up."

Crystal cheers as well.

 

"Yep. You'll be in a three day coma, but the village just leaves you there. If your men don't bother them until you wake, they'll start obeying a lot better than they have been."

"May as well go back. I'll tell the boss that you've made progress with the humans while you're at it."

Linoa claps, smiling.
"Well, I just heard that Xlentia's on the move, so after this hammer throw event I'll have to go see if she needs me on call."

Anne stops.
"I can't remember the name of the dragon I'm supposed to call for. One of them was friends with grandma." She sighs, pacing back and forth.
From the peak, you can see a pack of a few dozen dragons waiting near the edge of the forest.

The two forest guardians that are taking it easy are from the palace, as are most of the guardians roaming around throughout the palace.

 

Onyx is calmed by the presence of the guardians, deciding to look around the garden for something interesting.

 

The Void Flower in a very centered and isolated location in the garden. It's a bit dull for a centerpiece, but it's also the only flower in a plot that could hold the statue of Tenebrae in the Shadow Palace.

 

Onyx walks up the the void flower, sniffing at it curiously.

 

She accidentally bumps into a protective box. However, the flower seems to be making its surroundings scentless.

 

Onyx paws at the box curiously.

 

It's a lot sturdier than it looks; it's a clear plastic box with breathing holes, and it doesn't seem to budge at all.

 

Onyx walks away from the flower, disinterested, deciding to head back into the palace and exploring for any rooms she hasn't been in.

 

The only room left is Xlentia's chambers, from what she can tell by the map.

 

Onyx heads into Xlentia's chambers, curious to see if anything has changed.

 

"Alright."
I say, then focus on walking.

Crystal seems confused.
"From who?"

 

There's a Xlentia missing, but that's about it.

Eklir follows you before running off towards Akli'il territory.

"Commander Emerald."

 

Onyx walks over to the gold pile, picking up a coin to see what happens.

 

A guard's voice echoes through her chambers.
"You know better than that, kitty."

 

Onyx drops the coin immediately, running away from where she thinks the voice came from.

 

I walk around, looking for Orchid.

"Alright. Well, last sport for the day."

 

The echo reverberates throughout her chambers, impossible to tell exactly where it is.
"Thank you."

She's talking with a relieved Matriarch, who seems to be fond of hugs.

"Sorry about that. I forgot about her trip this month." Linoa admits, watching the high jumpers leave as the announcers retest their equipment for the hammer throw.
