SPOILER "this New Area"

I'm impressed. The Wynn team launches the map after a month and a giant black box covering up a new area appears. I browse the forum post, and already, people are screaming speculations.

Dern Speculation:

Okay, first of all, everyone sees the coming soon area behind Rymek and translates the text to Coming Soon, then they all start to scream out... "It's Dern! It's finally here, Dern!"

How do we know it's Dern? People start to make assumptions, and yes, if you look closely the border is made of obsidian and stone like the Halloween place of the House of Twain. Couldn't this be a place to explain more lore of the corruption?

Maybe if people start assuming a bit later when they have more evidence, go ahead. Assuming right now with no evidence basically makes you look irrelevant to this new place they are apparently introducing. Stop filling up the forums, screaming assumptions, because we need more posts that actually do something helpful, or explain their reasoning behind their assumption.

What I say:

I don't have any theories that have no supporting evidence like everyone else screaming Dern at this time. I do see a small glitch on the map where you can see through the black wool and there is a crystal looking cave. If this was a glitch, I found it, your welcome, but if it wasn't and it's mean't to be hidden for a reason, I'm plopping a spoiler tag on this post.

Possibly this area is connected to the house of twain as I said earlier, the same block palette is used on the mountains. That could just mean that it is filled with darkness and corruption, but since I have evidence, I can say it is possible.

The crystal cave I mentioned is at -649 378 on the map, if you're looking for it.

I'm gonna go ahead and sum up this post before it becomes too long, the map updated a while ago and I just wanted to get this out. I know I'm late, but I just got back from sleeping...

People speculate it's Dern because it is a basically confirmed future province backed up with many evidence to be located in that region

What you said didn't actually hold water. You just say you found something that you don't even know what it is, and slap "it's not Dern" to it, that's not how evidence support works. So in a thread about accusing Dern speculations lack evidence, the irony is surprisingly high

 

They might not be updating the Dern as a whole, but partially. The more we become one with darkness, the more secrets we could open through our adventure in the dark lands, and deeper we can go.

corruption doesn't cause blackston (obsidian) and purple crystals are a thing we see on an end biome which is what dern is

 

1) its the area Dern is suppose to be
2) its the color scheme of Dern
3) The supposed entrance to Dern is open
4) what evidence do YOU have to say that it isn't Dern. You need evidence to prove the chance that it isn't DERN.
5) if it is explaining lore to the corruption, why is it so far away from the portal.

More on topic; there's plenty of evidence. Just because you don't know everything doesn't mean you can discredit theories.
