Wealth Or Knowledge

So I have just done the fortuneteller quest and it gave me this book called "Wealth or Knowledge". Not knowing what to do with it, I looked on the wiki to find out that

• If you choose knowledge, you gain 600 000 experience; and if you choose wealth, you get 2LE.

I knew how to get the reward for wealth. However, I was confused about how to get the experience. In a thread I found that the book can be used to get more info about the lore. Does that mean the info on the wiki was false or is there some way to get extra experience from the book?

 

you throw the book in a hole in a bookshelf in llevigar
that will open the ladder next to the hole, where you get the library key
press the button on the door nearby, key in hand, and you'll enter the library of llevigar
enjoy 600,000 xp
