    One of the largest unsolved myths since Gavel's release, what happens if you go beyond 150 skill points? Does the effect stacks, or does it capped in 150?

    To give some context to this experiment, when a player add skill points to a particular skills, they can only add up to 100, after that you are able to use gears to further boost your sp, and it seemed to capped at 150, as it does not indicate any value beyond that. Some players speculate the value actually goes much higher than that and what indicate is not exact.

    My friend @Hero Cerebrum and I have conducted a little experiment

    First ,I have set myself with 147 Agility, giving me "exactly" 80% dodge chance

    He then hit me exactly 400 times (4 trials x 100 times), and from our testing he has damaged me 74 times, giving a value of 1-(74/400) = 81.5% dodge chance. Using a bit of statistic magic the acceptable error is 1.52%, so the 80% indicated value is statistically correct

    After that, I have gave myself extra +43 Agility (total +90), giving me supposedly 190 Agility worth of dodge chance, although we do not know what value we're looking for, if the dodge chance continue to increase after 150, the value should have a much more significant dodge chance than 80%

    Hero then proceed to hit me another 400 times (4 trials x 100 times), this time he has damaged me 81 times, giving a value of 1-(81/400) = 79.8% dodge chance. The acceptable error is 2.43%. Although we do not know what the value would be if it has an effect beyond 150 (80%), this value is much much more close to the 150 cap of ~80% dodge chance.

    Conclusion:
    150 skill points is a hard cap, going beyond it does not make any difference.



    Implication:
    Some items like Warp already has high skill requirement (130 agility), but the item itself also give a lot of extra skill points of that skill (12-52 agi). As proven above, any beyond 150 is actually useless. Is it intended to be this way or is this a bug? If it is intended then giving Warp a max +52 agility would do nothing other than making it look cool and stuff. This also solves the fact that while making a build there is no reason for it to go pass 150 points.

    This was recently changed, as there originally wasn't a cap even though there was meant to be. But 81%, at 150 skill points, is now the hard cap.

    Yeah, as Selvut said, it recently got changed. (April 13th?)
    Chun once reached like 189 skill points and that was around 88%... damn
    Still good job on the experiment tho

    I spent 1.5 hours getting hit 800 times and doing the maths and writing ffs ._.

    @TinaChan has already tried that with defense, which obviously, can be more accurate, and the hard cap is applied recently in 1.16 update

    no since defense do not reduce any form of elemental damage
    you will still take elemental dmg
