Settlers from a empire came to America where industrial process made them a powerful country, while they forced the natives to move. Sound familiar?

Yes it is. See my post on the previous page. I am absolutely certain of where it comes from, and who says it, a lot.

Many people[who?] think that moin derives from various regional pronunciations of (Guten) Morgen ("good morning"), which tend to alter, vocalise, or skip rg. However, the word may actually also derive from the Dutch, Frisian, and Low German word mo(o)i, meaning "beautiful" or "good".[1][3] Similar forms in Low Saxon are mooien Dag, mooien Abend, mooien Mor(g)en. Possibly, as is common in etymology, one origin is correct (either from Morgen or mooi) but spread thank to its oral assimilation with the other term.

In this case, it's a regional German pronunciation, and contracted slang, of Guten Morgen. Mo'in!

no, its derived from Low german "mooi" meaning good or beautiful, it doesn't have anything to do with morning.

The Moinerator is here to clear stuff up:

Moin, which originates from the old word "Moi", meaning "Good" is the go to greeting from where I live. Since the meaning behind it is literally just "Good", you can say it at any time of day, it's not a short form for morning.

It's not related to any sort of conspiracy about Italy and nazis, we just wanted a custom greeting for Corkus so naturally I stepped in and vouched for Moin, it was changed to Mo'in and that's pretty much it.
There is a custom meaning behind it in Corkus tho, we are probably gonna explain it ingame however, so you will have to wait and find it yourself.
