Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Will that take long? I have some friends that may think I'm dead."

"Uhh, I dunno."
Crystal shrugs.
"I don't know much about sports..."
He admits.

 

"I don't think so. Sgavrinn, you ok?" Artemis asks, petting Sgavrinn.

 

I close the portal and walk to the head of the survey corps.
"Now, where is this demon?"

 

"Go see them. I can deliver them personally."

"It just-"
The sorceress whose hut you've visited a bit leans over the mouth of the crevasse.
"And STAY out, you thieves!" She shouts, storming off.

He nods.
"The air is a bit funny here, but I don't feel bad or weird anywhere."

 

"Alright. I'm going through the Maralune portal. Have a good day."
I say, starting to take off.

 

"Hmm asleep already."
I look into the stars and close my eyes. The next thing you know it's morning.

 

"Goodness me, what exactly were you doing in that hut?"

 

"She came down into the village, came and took a few vines from the bramble past here, then when we tried to stop her, her demon warded off half a regiment. We sent another to get her to turn over what she stole off our land claim, and she left no survivors."

Anne seems to already have ran off to the shore, scorched pawprints going down to the beach and forming a rune of sorts, Anne sitting and waiting in the middle of it.

Emerald nods.
Ytir is right there at the portal.
"I had a feeling something went south... they launched another attack after you left!"

"Well, let's just go find out, shall we? I'm not big into sports either, but while we're here, why not?"

 

Artemis takes a breath of air, trying to see if it's polluted or toxic.

 

No pollutants, but it's a bit thinner where she is and seems a bit thicker towards Sgavrinn's face, resemblant of an air guardian's manipulation.

 

Artemis looks around, trying to precisely locate any air guardians with sharp vision.

 

As she looks, whatever it is seems to stop ailing Sgavrinn.
"Whatever you did, the extra breeze is gone." He says, blinking a bit before flying normally.

 

"Hey are you OK?" I ask while startling Anne

 

"Damn. Does everyone fare well?"
I ask, landing.

"Okay, let's go."
Crystal says, walking towards the entrance.

 

She jumps.
"Y-yeah. I was wondering if you could help me with this. The summoning ritual calls for water magic, but I don't know any."

"Mostly. No critical injuries, but Orchid has a cracked leg and Chief still has a limp, though he wasn't ever bleeding."

Linoa leads.
Inside, there's a poster for dodgeball, tennis, and a hurdles race.

 

"Your first assignment is to fence off the area of our claims, and make it obvious too." I say, somewhat miffed at the thought of some vines causing this.
I then teleport in front of the hut.

 

They salute as you teleport off.

The sorceress bumps in to you as you teleport, her trying to go inside.
"What the- hey! This has GOT to be a joke... What the hell do you want from me?!" She half-shouts, worked up from earlier.

 

"Alright. I'm waiting on a report from someone what will help us. Now, let's get through so your friends don't think I'm dead, or something."
I propose.

"What's dodgeball? Do you just dodge a ball, and that's it?"
Crystal asks Linoa, curious.

 

Ytir nods, taking the lead.

"So, there are two teams and a few inflatable game balls lined up on a middle line. Pretty much, at the start of the game, both teams run up to the line and try to grab them. Then, they throw them at each other. If you get hit, you're out, but if one of your teammates catch a ball before it bounces, then you can bring someone that's out back in. Does that make sense?" Linoa tries to explain.

 

I follow.

"Yeah."
Crystal nods.
"Do you wanna go see that?"
