Is Hetusol Worse Than Chef Hamsey's Apron?

So here they are, Hetusol and the apron are both fire/water chestplates with a maximum of 3/4 mana.

Hetusol Defenses

Health: 3500

Fire Defense: 180
Water Defense: 80
Thunder Defense: -160
Earth Defense: -100

Chef Hamsey's Apron

Health: 2500

Fire Defense: 80
Water Defense: 80

So defense wise Hetusol does provide more fire defense at the cost of negative thunder and earth defense, the apron provides less fire defense but has no negative defenses.

In terms of stats the only main difference is Hetusol provides raw health regen while the apron does not. So which item is better to use for a fire/water tank?

Depends on what kind of tank. I prefer soulflare to both though

 

Currently I'm using an Fire/Earth/Water Tank, however Soulflare is still an interesting option

Yes and no. If you have a way to counteract the negative defenses on Hetusol, use it. Otherwise, Chef Hamsey's Apron is probably better.

(If you only want tanking, and you have a ton of water defense, though, use Leo. Particularly if your build is EWF with Gaea-Hewn.)
