Ya, it's almost at the very bottom

 

I'll hit the crack facing the dark area. When you hit the bottom of a long, cylindrical object not anchored to anything, it generally doesn't fall in the expected direction.

You shoot light at the crack while the darkness is also 1/2 on it. The clash between the light and darkness on the pillar makes the crack go through the pillar, making it fall on the mummy. A lot of darkness starts to be sucked into the mummy, and some looks like it's building up between the mummy and the pillar on top of it.

Guardian of The Forest: "Well, there is a tiny disturbance, but its large event will not come forth in the near present. That is unless something speeds it up. I do not have knowledge of a creature who could though."

Once the darkness is retracted, I'll blast him with light magic to weaken him, then rush in and stab the mummy until the darkness fades completely, then decapitate him.

A lot of the darkness has retracted, but the amount concentrated between the pillar and the mummy seems to hold intense power, and is starting to rapidly shake.

Usually swords like that are called somethen weird, so I had the idea of the name Kazukii, but I've also thought of a non weird one, which is Dragon Force or Dragons Bane or something like that. The towns around In the forest are attempting to lessen their numbers, but there are always more they have not downed. If you would like to hunt them, you may. They are the only thing currently wrong in the forest."

You hit it with some fire arrows, although no light since again the light left the fire once it hit the dark wall. After about 3 arrows, the intensely compact darkness explodes outward, making the pillar smash into the ceiling, creating a large crack. The shards from the ceiling and the pillar and coming down straight at you. (You rolled a 1 for where the pillar was ganna land xD Gushy: "The pillar crushed both your legs and your arm. Your bleeding out and unconscious.")
