Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Alice seems to have merged with you.
Sgavrinn takes off and starts flying somewhat aimlessly unless given directions.

 

Artemis glances around, before eventually pointing Sgavrinn toward the ocean.

"I don't know the terms of 'cheating' if I was making out with Artemis while you were inside of me." I think, clearly aiming the thought at Alice.

 

Sgavrinn turns towards the ocean.

"I think that's an unheard of clause. For your sake, we'll say no."

 

"Good. I'm loyal to Artemis, and I would never want to accidentally cheat on her." I say honestly.

Once Sgavrinn reaches the ocean, Artemis looks around for a bit, before directing him up a river leading into the ocean.

 

Sgavrinn just keeps following the directions, Alice remaining silent, until...
"You know, I fear that my powers may slowly bind themselves to your goddess. I hate the idea of being a puppet child."

 

"You're not really a puppet child as a Shadow, just an extension of Tenebrae herself. She doesn't control what you think or do, you have free will. You're just...part of her. It's comforting in a way," I say, "Mostly spiritually, really. I'm still born of my mother."

 

"I can't stand the thought, personally. It's like being unwillingly assimilated."

 

"I don't see the problem with it. If Tenebrae was mind controlling us, then I'd see a problem, but I've got the same link to Tenebrae as Artemis has to Gaia. We're just the creation of the gods, and we have a special link to our own." I explain.

 

"I wasn't originally her child. I am slowly becoming a piece of her and it mildly disturbs me."

 

"Well...you could always go visit her. I was gifted a ring that'd allow me to visit her should I wish but...I gave it to someone I trusted, and I don't know if I can get it back anytime soon." I say.

 

"There's a statue of her in the palace, right? That'd be a good way to get rid of me for a while."

 

"I guess you could go talk to her," I say, shrugging, "Just...kneel and pray."

 

"If she permits, she could let me in from there, no?"
Pause.
"I'm surprised you're not jumping at the opportunity to get rid of me."

 

"Probably," I say, "You're not that annoying."

 

Alice shrugs.
"One problem, I can't go in the palace."

 

"Why not?" I ask, confused.

 

"Because I'm wanted for just quitting my job. After I had access to the highest classified documents, I was supposed to forever serve the agency. But their classified crap was worth dirt compared to what I know, so I took it as a joke and quit."

 

"Yeah, that's sort of a problem. We can't have people knowing our secrets running free and telling anyone they want." I say awkwardly.

 

"Nothing other than Eve's specs was worth anything, to be honest." Alice shrugs.

 

"How you managed to acquire such things I don't know, but Eve is a powerful advancement in robotic technology," I say, "I...assume you know her story too?"
