SPOILER Is The Blacked Out Area Dern?

It's been said that Dern will be the ultimate Endgame so I think wouldn't make sense for Fruma or and other provinces to come after (at least for me anyway)

 

We've known about dern for so long now
Fruma is relatively new

 

That doesn't mean it's coming after dern

 

its right next to the abandoned mines

 

BUT GRIAN SAID DERN ISNT NEXT

 

Perhaps, The Abandoned Mines gateway to Dern theory could be backed up more?

 

Less than a year and a half ago....

 

But Grian doesn't get to decide it all, does he?

 

but I'd like to think the owners actually think about things before they say them so as not to mislead people, hmm?

 

If that is Dern, it's pretty underwhelming.

 

Well, it is probably rich in other ways. Say, imagine it had an uncorrupted counterpart you could travel back in time to go to. And if you enter via Rymek, it could be blocked up as an excuse to keep you in there. But who knows. This might've even be Dern! (Against all odds though). But I feel if that is Dern, it will make up for being a small space.

 

There's all this stuff about "Dern isn't considered a province, it's better defined as a realm" and that you actually need a portals to get to Dern like Gateway Island and the abandoned mines. But if this is Dern, I find it a moderately sized "fuck you".

With Corkus, we atleast knew it had a humble beginning and was just an island.
Even though the community already speculated Dern was south of Wynn, it should have some more umpf.

That actually makes it sound way more interesting. Maybe Dern is a realm just like the Nether or Realm of Light. Perhaps that was Bloomi, and it is being used as a host in a way by Dern to manifest into the physical world.

Or Dern is just Wynn's acne breakout.
