Literally four minutes ago (Since this threads creation) Salted made a thread, announcing map changes:

In the thread there was Wynnic message saying 'coming soon'
Obviously this means something is coming soon, but what?
I think that to some extent it is going to be Dern.
Now hear me out:

If you would look at the border, the only place that is not blacked out; you would see that it is significantly decayed compared to the other borders:

Also, they added some decay/corruption near the house of Twain, which I know wasn't there before.

Further points:
-Gavel was realeased two years ago, that is more than enough time to make a second province.
-It is relativity small, so this short amount of time that it took is reasonable.
-Grian called Corkus a 'side project'... This could be the main project.

The "Corruption" is the graveyard from the Hallowynn quest. And yes, it's probably Dern. That, or it's bait.

Either way, don't judge a book by it's cover. It seems that whatever it is, it will probably extend to the east. Again, that might just be ackro baiting.

A Grave Mistake, I think it was. Ackro hinted at the area continuing further than what we can see, but he may have just been baiting. As in, spreading misinformation to trick/prank us or mislead us into getting hype.

Roughly 1.5 years ago actually, Gavel's 2nd anniversary will be December 21st of this year.

Don't judge a book by it's cover now, it may look around the same size as Corkus (Not that that's a bad thing or anything), but look at Gavel for example, it's already massive, but it becomes even bigger when you consider all the areas outside of the normal map the player gets teleported to in quests (Realm of Light, Death's Realm, Trippy Forest, etc.). Dern(?) may utilize many large areas outside of the map via teleportation spots in a similar way to make up for the initial landmass we can currently see on the map.
