[ Comprehensive Debate ] Bring People Back To Detlas Trade Hub?

Why should a low level player head to Corkus City for trading when they can be trading in Detlas?
Why should they be forced to go to a higher level area that they should not have meant to be there until level 82

I am countering your argument as of Corkus being at the 'centre' of all provinces, but for now, Corkus has yet just released, we don't know what will be added or changed, the fact is, Detlas, is centered Wynn while Cinfras, is centered Gavel. With the airship, Detlas and Cinfras are basically at the center of both Wynn and Gavel, while corkus is just being the centre of the ocean, or staying on edge of the map

as I mentioned, the center of Corkus City could have been good if there is no one there, but if you are making that an actual trade hub, there will be people standing in the middle of everything, too many players can be very confusing no matter what class you are on. Not to mention archer arrow bombs are gonna got blocked by pets and players while you cannot see the smoke from assasin vanish becuz of the noise of the particles that is created by other players, the overall dueling experience is worse than dueling outside Detlas

Both definitely have their merits, but I'm going with the majority here and saying that Detlas is better, because of many reasons stated by you, and also because trading with people that are in the lower levels is easier at Detlas while there really isn't any point to it in CC.

I definitely agree with this (myself having accessed CC with my lvl 28 archer), yet it still won't be convenient for lower level players to trade there.

You assume newbies will know how to work around the forums, if they even know it exists, just to travel to a level 80+ area and get discouraged by dying instantly.

Even IF there are jumping-around areas on par with Detlas, it still doesn't change the fact that Detlas' jumping-around areas are right outside the bank. Corkus on the other hand has a flat piece of land next to its bank. Would you rather jump away from everyone else like a loner or jump around while socializing?

EDIT: Saw your video, I can imagine what it's like jumping around there with like 10 other people.

Except as an Archer I constantly jump on top of roofs without meaning to. Warriors, Assassins and to a certain extent, Mages, are all disadvantaged by this terrain. Mage in particular has trouble teleporting out of bushes.

 

My argument for a low level class being is Corkus City is why is it necessary bringing it to Corkus City for trading and why should it go to corkus when Detlas is much easier accessible and fitting the leveling route for a low level player instead of moving it to an unnecessarily high level area just for doing trades

 

Exactly. That's one of the major reasons why I think CC snouldn't be the main trade hub.

Okay, being serious, Detlas may be better and more convenient in accessibility for players of all levels, plus, it's synergy with our 4-year community has made it Wynncraft's most iconic town. But Corkus City is better in terms of practicality for endgame players, with CC acting as a hub for loads of endgame stuff, with the Fallen Factory, Uth runes for Corrupted dungeons, loot routes, and a hot air balloon that acts as a shortcut to the endgame areas of Gavel.

 

I agree on 50/50 on the dungeon thingy, Despite FF being close by Corkus City, when we take a look at the items, they are not heavy META based items. While Airship traveling to cinfras allows you reaching the Forgery easier, despite being endgame hub, this level requirement is still too high for lv 82 - to get into Corkus which as we know some lv 60-80 are actually decent for end game builds. I am still gonna stay on the part that CC is less accessible then Detlas, but nice idea, and in fact Uth Shrine is kinda close to CC, that can be one good pro about CC but I don't think this is strong enough to support other drawbacks in CC

 

To be fair there's an Uth Shrine in Aldorei, which is relatively close to Cinfras. It -is- a farther distance(and there's no Golden Avia there), but it does indeed exist.

 

Or, you know, insted of watching 2 guys arguing in the forums about what the intire community should do, let them be, eventually one will see his idea isnt working out, and join the others.

As a trading hub, for my personal experience, Detlas is the easiest choice for low level storage classes, and mid to high levels have easy access to being center of Wynn and center of Gavel (via Detlas-Cinfras airship). My low level storage classes are going to be parked in Detlas as it is fairly easy to get to the LE merchant, powder merchant, item buyers and item identifiers. No matter what the terrain, architecture, blocks to parkour around or just perch on, majority of players will gravitate towards whichever city is easiest to get to, and that tends to have plenty traffic. Detlas is also popular for low to mid level players seeking help as there are many higher level players with idle time. Speaking of idle time, Detlas' cozy layout is ideal for sharing: opening crates, party bombs & item bombs. Corkus has the distinction of the powder exchange, and can accommodate most features and activities Detlas has, however newer players without Lev80+ classes will have no reason to be hanging out in Corkus until they are ready/need to be. As having a few classes approaching Level 80-90, I would probably have one class travel between Corkus & Kandon Beda.

In the end, each player will have their own preferences. Time will ultimately tell which city will be their trading city (remember the debate of Cinfras vs. Detlas?).
