Assassin/Ninja Melee/tank Grimtrap Build

Hello guys, today I'd like to present a build to you that @Madib00 suggested to me. It's a melee/tank build for the assasine/ninja class. I recommend you to use tier 6 Earth Powders on all your armor for the rage effect, in order to maximise your damage output. Bare in mind that this is a pure pve build (every player who is using his spells wisely will beat you with eZ in pvp). So let's start with the build's items.

I don't have all needed powders yet, but I will add them as soon as possible.

The helmet I use for this build is Centipede. It's a must-have for every melee build. You can get it by doing the Corrupted Animal Dungeon (Corrupted Lost Sanctuary) 8 times. Unfortunately you can't put powders on it, because it doesn't have any powder slots.

It's stats are set, so you can't go wrong here.

For the chestplate Madib00 went with Chestplate of Ineptitude. It has great raw and percentage melee damage, attack speed and no negative defenses.

You should put 2 tier 6 Earth Powders and 1 tier 6 Air Powder on it, to A) Unlock the rage effect and B) encounter the negativ air defense.

The leggings I use is Vaward. These leggings are the most important thing in the armor part, mainly because it gives you a good skill point and melee boost. You should go for atleast +25 skill points in total and 20% melee bonus.

Again add 2 tier 6 Earth Powders and 1 tier 6 Air Powder.

The boots I choose were Gaea-Hewn Boots. You can get them from the hive shop, after you finished the Qira Hive Quest. Its stats are already set, so you can't do anything wrong here.

I added 2 tier & Earth Powders to gain the rage ability.

Exploding with life steal is OP!

For the jewelery you will need 2x Prisms as rings. (Aim for +17 and +18 sp bonus and you should be fine.) The Bracelet should be Prowess, for extra skill points.
And for the necklace you have to choose between:

- Morph-Ruby
⇾ Easiest to obtain
⇾ Aim for atleast +13 skill points

- Gigabyte
⇾ You have to do the factory a few times
⇾ gives some nice boosts aswell

- Diamond Fusion Necklace
⇾ You have to do the legendary challenge 2 times
⇾ gives more elemental defense

If you take Gigabyte or Diamond Fusion Necklace you can go lower on the Prism stats ➨ less expensive.

The weapon is Grimtrap, obviously. It has:
- Lifesteal ✓
- Thorns (Mini Cactus effect) ✓
- High Damage Output ✓
- Poison ✓
You should aim for good lifesteal (min. 600+) and no negativ mana steal. Poison is not important for this build.
With this weapon you can deal, if you have perfect ids on all your build items, up to 4.5k damage with a super fast attack speed (5k, in this case, if you count the poison damage).

Use 2 tier 6 Earth Powders to unlock the Earth Quake ability.

This is the best case scenario for the skill points: 90/60/33/33/80


Is this glitched?

⇾ Quite good elemental defenses

⇾ Extremely high thorns
⇾ Good Lifesteal

I would like to thank @Madib00 for suggesting basically the whole build and I stole his way of presenting Builds (mainly because it looks so fancy and well organized), so all the credit goes to him.
Also a big thank you to @t0koHerold for getting me the money for my grimtrap and doing the hive with my lower classes.

You practically copied my build, unless you made it yourself, in which case, good job! You did very well, but just your choice of leggings is horrible.
You don't need so much sp. Get more damage.

As of now, you do 30% less damage than I do, and I haven't even powdered my armor yet.

 

First off @Madib00 made this build and for the leggings you are using earth braeker, right?
And what is your damage output?

 

4-5k per hit super fast, 25k dps with quake.

I theorycrafted this build some weeks ago on my help thread, I did not even remember your build was so similar. I guess we just had the same thought process. :D
I had earth breaker in mind as it gives more damage, but ended up going for Vaward for more agility and balance.
Earth Breaker may be better for damage, but Vaward is more balanced and by no means "horrible".

It is unique, works really well and is good all-around. Mobility, tankiness, damage. You have my support if you ever decide to reupload it.

 

People didn't call his build terrible, people just don't like how he phrases his build like its the best in the world

 

That is orange's way to do it, he does not do it because he is evil, he just felt good about what he had created.
Maybe he made it seem a bit better than what it is, but let's face it, we all do to some extent.

I remember people telling how his build was unnecessary and how anyone can "shred anything PvE-releated with ease" using any half-decent build.
I mean of course, but if it is possible to improve, why not? c:

Dude, I tried this build now with earth breaker and I have to say it's rly good. I recommend you to repost this build. I dont want to take the credit you deserve :D
