"Sure I can handle that." Ramus says. I pick up his bag and place it on my back.
"You know the way to Efelim, traveller?" I ask the man.

Traveller: "Ya, but you might know it better. You live here right? Most tree people I've met tend to stay in their general areas."

"Yes I do know the way." I tell the man.
I start walking north.
"This way, traveller."

 

Good, except there's 1 thing that needs to be changed to fit the world. The corrupted and decay haven't been unleashed yet, however demons are out in the world from the nether, so you could be hunting those to try to stop them from planning the siege (Which is opening the portal) Other than that I like the idea! Just change the backstory a bit to make it demon hunting instead of corrupted/decayed. Actually, there are orcs that aren't very friendly and tend to try to kill people. You could hunt them instead.

The traveler follows behind you, seeming relieved to have the weight of the bag off his back. After a while you reach the destination. An elf comes out of a house nearby to greet you. Elf: "Hello, do you have something for us or are you just passing through?" *She then sees the traveler behind you* Elf: Oh, is that the stuff we needed delivered? Thank you very much for bringing it here! I'm not sure who I would pay in your group but I hired him so I guess he can split it between you?" *she gives some emeralds to the traveler. He counts it then gives you 5eb for helping him out. Traveler: "Thanks again for helping! I got more deliveries todo so I should probably be going. Bye!" After delivering the items, you decide to...

A. Explore the town
B. Help the traveler with more deliveries
C. Go back to what you were doing

"If you like, I could help you with that. I ask the man. "I don't have much to do anyway."
I walk towards the man who's heading back the direction he came from.
"What was in that bag, actually?"

 

Ramus

Traveller: "Oh, the bag? Well, they have a scientist there that's working on something. He asked for some certain items so I delivered them. None were illegal or anything, but I wasn't allowed to know what he was working on. Anyway, if you would really like to come along and help, I would enjoy the company. It's out of the forest though. The next delivery is from Llevigar to Olux. Then conveniently right after that one is something from Olux to Gelibord."

Lucien moves to another section of the wall to see if there's anything else.

"Oh don't worry I don't mind leaving home from time to time." I say to the man.
"So... If we're going to stick together for a while, what is your name traveller?" I ask the man.

 

Lucien

The same as before, although the pickaxes have a lower bounce to them. Might be cause it's working a bit or might be cause the miners know it's a useless effort to try to mine it cause it's not chipping.

Lucien chips some more obsidian off, and pockets the savings before returning back to the surface.

Ken: "Oh ya, guess names never came up. I'm Ken, you?"

How the hell do you put poison on arrows that don't exist until you fire them? XD

You get more shavings and go up top. It's not really quiten time yet but they don't' suspect suspicious activity.

Lucien decides to climg the volcano to see if there are any interesting rocks up there.

Ken: "Well, that sounds like a pretty cool name. Nice to meet ya!" *he shakes your hand and you continue walking*

"So where are you from, Ken?" I ask him.
We pass the place where the 'A fighting species' quest is now

 

(If the boss saw you up there, he probably wouldn't be happy cause he's supposed to be responsible for you, but lucky enough your grey skin and cloths kinda act as camouflage against the gray rock)

You climb to the top of the volcano, and there actually are some weird rocks up there. They seem to be purpleish red, and look a little hot to the touch

Lucien morphs his shovel into a chisel and starts chiseling away chunks of the purpleish red rocks.

Ken: "Deltas. Stayed there my whole life really. My parents were farmers and I helped out sometimes, but I always wanted to explore the world rather than sit and work at a farm all day. So I eventually found a job as a delivery man, runnin around the country delivering things that people needed to get from one place to another. I enjoy it most times, and honestly I think I've gotten a bit stronger from carrying so many bags to so many places. I get to meet a lot of new people during my travels too. So, what about you? I assume you grew up in that forest?"
