Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The Anubis nods, leaving.

 

The pair talk for a bit, before leaving through a dark portal which quickly closes.

 

"I'm not planning on destroying your planet any time soon. If the planet's being destroyed, it'll be by the people who live there, not by any of my friends or allies, or myself. What I really need to do is to get more information about the inhibitor, but I also need to wait for Aral'hrah to get back to relay to him the information I just told you."
I say to the raptor.

 

Nothing tries to follow them.

"Ah, okay. That's a relief..."
"You're both waiting on who?"
"Oh, the chief. He went off to scavenge supplies. He'll probably be back in a couple days."

 

"Yeah, and I made a half-deal to tell him basically what I just told you, so I need to keep that deal."

 

"Alright, then."

 

"Well, care to see any other place?"
I ask the raptor.

 

"Her chambers?"

 

"Alright. Let's go, then."
I say, starting to leave.
"Have a good day, Xephyr!"

 

"You too! Thanks for stopping by!" She says happily.
"Bye miss Xephyr!" The raptor calls, rushing to catch up with you.

 

"What's your name, by the way?"
I ask, opening the door.

 

"My na-oh, right. I'm Ytir. One of the chief's advisors. He says that even though the others think I'm crazy and stupid, my non-combat ideas tend to work better than the others, so I have to always have help with my hunts because I'm weaker than the others."

 

"Your non-combat ideas are going to save you one day."
I say, walking through the doorway and holding the door open for him.

 

"I wish I could agree, but I can't remember the last time a raptor died of old age."
He slinks out.

 

"Remember when I said change is coming?"
I say, letting go of the door and kneeling.

 

Ytir climbs on.
"Any leg up for me is welcome."

 

"You're welcome, then."
I say, blasting off towards Xelentia's chambers.

 

Ytir clutches on a bit tighter, surprised.
"T-thanks, in advance."

 

I lock my arms behind him once again.
"No problem."

 

The rest of the flight is silent.
Xlentia seems to have left her door open, visible counting her gold pile inside.
"Holy shit!" Ytir comments.
