    how to be exact?
having to pay for stuff we can get for free would just make map making and texture pack making die, since nobody would pay just for textures and maps, also, this will make the shitty maps and texture packs flood for money, and nobody would buy them because it costs money.

there are surely some good maps, i can tell because of hypixel's good old map lobby, Herobrine's mansion and Return, Wrath of the Fallen and Wither challenge were awesome maps, moments that i would like to revive, these type of maps are what makes minecraft map making great.
Right now, from what i see most maps looks horrid or either lacks out of creativity, they are bad worked, etc (i can tell it because i saw a lot of videos from youtubers that just made map making look disgusting, they all were made with odd bedrock passages, uses chests that are placed without command blocks, mobs that you MUST summon and THEY have no custom stuff, AKA lazy and bad worked maps, by not mentioning the dialogues used books inside chests instead of command blocks, which even without colors doesnt look that odd)

And about texture packs, well... this is for real the WORST part, same for skins, i mean... texture packs are something we need just to be able to get a better experience of minecraft, for example, playing wynncraft rn wouldnt be the same without the texture pack, minigames like Warlords, Smash Heroes or DvZ would look really weird without texture pack, and im sure a lot of us need to use a texture pack that fits our style on minecraft, because we all know some people may not like the default texture pack (AKA me, i like to use Faithful 64x64 instead of default)
And skins... oh god do i seriously have to pay for using a skin? please... here i have nothing more to say rather than Horrible idea...

Yeah he mentions there will still be the free methods but still if you dont know how to that you are obligated to buy stuff or look through the internet for tutorials... (something that is pretty hard, since the good tutorials rarely happen)

done, i already exploded, now i can be calm

    some servers actually have this

you said theres gonna be a ton of shitty maps and so on just so people can make money considering microsoft is a big company they have the potential to be able to filter out the bad conntent

you said you dont see good maps too often well i can't agree with that for example captain sparklez is managing to find good and intresting maps to play on that i never saw before

and for your last point wynncraft would most likely be kind to us just as many other servers and suply us with free resource packs because stuff will still be able to stay for free

also content creators will have a period of experimantation when this comes out by this i mean they will most likely test out how usefull the store is for them if it would not bring them enough profit they would most likely give their maps ot for free on websites with adds since thats what they currentley do

if any of this confused you please tell me what part it was and ill try to explain my self better

I think of it as both bad and good, but mostly bad...
Good part about it, as AntVenom said, people who did hard work on their map and such will be paid, just like how buying games work...
The bad thing about it, is people won't bother to buy it and probably will get copied and downloaded free... another bad thing is that realms exist and makes realms pointless to the fact where you can just download their maps freely instead of monthly paying...
So the conclusion of this is... Bad... Just one of the worst ideas that microsoft has done...

    Minecraft:
    Hello there,

I have been in the Minecraft community since 2013, which is a long time. I started out on Minecraft PE and eventually got a computer capable of running the real Minecraft. I started using the PC version in 2014, after a year of using PE. I have since discontinued my interest in PE but continue to love and enjoy the original like millions before me. Because of my involvement with the community, I have seen lots of change, hate, and love in this wonderful and always changing community. But this change in Minecraft is too much.

This whole thing will drive Minecraft into the shithole that it's already dug for itself when Microsoft bought it in the first place! I understand that the whole point is for mapmakers to make money and shit like that, but that is not how Minecraft has run for the past 8 YEARS! Introducing this idea after 0.82 decades is a HORRIBLE idea and will, without certainty, drive Minecraft to the bottom of the market where it will stay until it dies. It's like that classic saying, "If it isn't broken, don't fix it," and the same thing goes for these microtransactions. Minecraft is a great game already, and there is no need to make more money off of it which will just piss off players even more than they are with the development process that Minecraft has already gotten into the groove of.

What do I mean exactly? Well, just look at the features in the last couple updates. We have shit like llamas and parrots which serve no fucking purpose whatsoever. For example, when 1.9 came out, it changed the whole dynamic of the game, adding new features and adding some skill to PvP and PvE which didn't have a lot of skill-based anything to it before. But when they released the cooldown for attacking, it changed everything inside of Minecraft. But what do llamas do? They do nothing! It's just another type of useless transportation that will get discarded eventually and one day in the future we'll hear from kids, "Oh, hey. I didn't know there were llamas in Minecraft," even though they have been in the game for the last 5 years. The same goes for parrots. I mean sure, they can imitate sounds which COULD be useful inside of caves and shit like that. But seriously people, in a year from now people will just go back to not using them at all and will say the same thing they did with llamas.

Conclusion: Minecraft is turning into a shithole spiral. No new gameplay changes are coming. Instead, we're getting this shit over and over again, and it's not going to end well. If we, as a community, want to survive, we need to tell Microsoft to go fuck over some other game and keep the community of over 10 million people happy for the duration of Minecraft's life. Thank you

    Sincerely,

    RogueHatter

Minecraft is a game that i got the most fun per money paid out of but i'm also not happy at all with how mojang or microsoft is dealing with development.

I remember at first, notch did a shit ton of updates, then they got a new team and they promised a shit ton but never delivered.

I remember when they promised mod api, then they later on said they never promised it and that it won't be coming.

So all they do now is release useless updates that add nothing i care about while managing to break mods.

Most of the content, like 99% of it comes from the community who mod, build and basically everything for free mostly. All notch did was get lucky, become a bilionare and then abandon ship, which i would have done too i bet so i can't be too mad at him. I got my money worth and more, it's just sad that instead of minecraft getting actual updates and features, all we get is more releases on different platforms, more microtransactions, more spin of movies, kiddo mechandize etc.

I can't believe they didn't even add a way to add infinite block types to servers.

I can imagine micro-transactions on this server:

    $10.00 for multiplayer
    $1.99 per month for skin
    $20.00 for creative mode
    $2.00 per adventure map
    $5.00 for hardcore mode
$1.00 for diamonds to spawn in-game
    $12.99 for save feature

    $100.00 to make a server
    $50.00 to go to Wynncraft

and this sums up what I said:

I have been with the Microsoft community since 2005. F***in 2005! In all my years of playing their launch titles, the 3 most devastating things that have happened to the company is 1) The reformation of the Microsoft Sales team, 2) Buying Halo from Bungie and giving it to 343, only for them to royally f*** it up, adding Micro-transactions into Halo 5. This "Req System" may have gained millions of dollars, but a lot of hardcore fans (myself included) were very upset by the pay-to-win strategy now in the beloved iconic series. 3) After many, many years of the success of Halo and Minecraft, and the explosion of the REQ System, Microsoft considers bringing it into Minecraft, of all things!

This made me very mad, and I even sent an angry letter to Microsoft to try and express my concerns. It did not do much, obviously, but that is because I am only one person. Will you people join me in my attempts to keep Micro-transactions out of our favorite game titles?
