Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah. I'll let you figure it out, though."

 

After searching for a while, the pair seem to stray away from the Anubis' area, heading off further into the desert.

 

"Well, the answer's behind that door, no?" The raptor asks, walking up next to the door to the bunk room.

Another Anubis rises out of the sand, trailing the group nervously.

 

"If you're really good at counting, maybe, but the next location will make it obvious."
I say, walking up to the door and opening it.

 

The pair soon notice.

"Ah, hello. You wouldn't have seen a fire guardian called Abigail around here recently, would you?" The forest guardian asks, walking over to the Anubis.

 

They shake their head.
"No, but we've been looking for her. Is there a place we can rendezvous if we find her?"

The raptor steps in, glancing at everyone.
"Whoa..." They say, awestruck. "So many..."
Pause.
"So, all these dragonkin serve her? She must be a goddess if that many dragons will bow to her..."

 

"I heard of a rather nice cafe around here. Perhaps we could meet there?" The sand guardian suggests.

 

"The Shifting Sands? If you know where it is, sure."

 

"Excellent. Shall we meet in three hours?" The sand guardian asks happily.

 

"I hope to see you then." The Anubis says, dissolving into sand as a gust of wind sweeps by.

 

"Ding ding ding, correct."
I say.
"You seemed winded, so why not stop here for a while."
I suggest.

 

"Hey, you mean this is the domain of a god?!" They ask, surprised.

 

"Goddess."
I correct.

 

"Why would a colossal goddess need servants? Can you all really add up to fulfill her needs?"

 

"Maybe you can ask her if we come across her."
Pause.
"Have you ever slept in a bed before?"

 

"I don't even know what a bed is."

 

"Find a place to relax in here."
I suggest.
"It's the bunk rooms. Mainly used for sleeping."

 

"What do you do with a bed? Why is it good for resting?"

 

"Bed, a piece of furniture for sleep or rest, typically a framework with a mattress and coverings."
I recite.
"In short, you lay in it and it should feel better than laying on the ground."

 

The raptor, uneasy, moves over to an empty bunk and climbs up on it before laying down.
"It's softer than the ground. Feels drier than the ground, too."
