Why Was This Island Removed?

S0 i was looking through the internet with wynn names and this came up

forget the picture's meaning and go to the black island close to maro peaks
why was it removed? Why was it substituted by the dead island? and what meaning did it have on these times? i have been wondering what was the meaning of that island since always, but only now i decided to ask

I remember when I went to that island when I was like, a level 50 Archer, and I would entertain myself and my friends by trying to survive there for as long as I could, lmao... so many memories... I miss the old days ;-;

 

There was a T4 chest there in a cave that I used to farm, and enderman that served as a grinding spot.

I guess it has something to do with the lore, not sure

 

It was removed because it was the most useless place in wynn

 

Maybe because of the quest?

 

i dont think removing an entire island just for be replaced by another one with a quest is the best idea i ever saw
specially because it makes new people not be able to experience stuff that they could experience with ease if they are replaced, when the new island could have been built in another place of the ocean

 

I think it didn't fit in with the intended lore

It was removed to fit with lore, because it was an overpowered grinding spot and they wanted ToL to be the best area, and because it had 0 potential for a quest. It was "substituted" with dead island because a lot of the map was rehauled at the same time. Essentially, it's just the remade version of the same island.
