"Try putting your hands around my shoulders, making the end of you hand in the front of my shoulder. Also, if you're worried, you can still dig into my skin, just don't go too far."

 

"I hope your cafe does better now you have all these crops to work with." Shadow Stephanie says, hugging back.

 

They hesitate, essentially hugging you like a backpack.
"Is... uh... this okay?"

"I-I-... m-most of these c-can't grow here... a-are you sure they'll be okay?"

 

"If it feels right. Just tell me when you're ready, and we'll take off."

 

"As long as you keep them in the soil, they'll be fine. They probably won't grow if you try planting them elsewhere though." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Will the soil keep amidst the sand?"

"I think... yeah, I can hold on like this."

 

"Ready, then?"
I double-check.

 

"Yes."

 

I take off, assuming a more horizontal position for better flight. I also put my hands together behind my back, creating a sort of safety measure should the raptor let go.

 

"It should do, just keep it together. It can survive sand, but it should be kept together for best effect." Shadow Stephanie explains, smiling.

 

You end up giving them a reverse hug of sorts, they seem to shift uncomfortably as you do so, but you feel yourself catch him multiple times he began to slip.
"Where are we going first?"

 

"The direction you chose."

 

"I'll do my best. Uhm... could you maybe have someone teach me how to tend to the crops? I only know the desert ones..."
She pauses.
"Stephanie also asked for the seeds I used for the coffee, so I... uhm... figure this is the best I can do to thank you... that's too much to just apologize."

Ali pulls two small bags of seeds.
"Desert grain and desert bean. They only grow in damp sand, but the effort is worth it. I... thank you so much for everything... I just need a few days to... let everything sink in."

"And what room is that towards?"

 

"Bunk room. I'll let you choose the next one, there should be a few maps around."

 

"Uhm... you pick the next one." They say nervously.

 

"What's wrong with you choosing?"
I ask, curious.

 

"You seem to know this place. And I can't read."

 

"I'll say what your choice are, then. It's your visit, not mine."

 

"Okay, then."
