Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Silence.

"H-huh? But I thought I needed to use the contracts for that!"

 

I exit the stronghold, looking around.

 

The marketplace is ahead, two main roads branching out at 90 degrees.

 

"There's been a bit of trouble regarding the contracts, due to the incident that happened with your false clone. They decided to cover your medical costs as an act of forgiveness nonetheless." The doctor says.

 

"Wait... a false clone? I've never been cloned... Do you mean Rit?"

 

"The fake version of you that was used to trick the king and queen, and attempted to attack the group sent to repair your cafe. Were you not informed?" The doctor asks.

 

Making sure not to burn anything, I take off, flying, and head back to around the portal.

 

"No, not that I recall."

Rineth seems to be waiting.

 

I nod to him, looking around for anything.

 

Nothing else nearby.

 

"The hive master, or at least it is believed to be him, sent a false version of you who had a fake tablet to order contracts from the king and queen. The king and queen sent a group to help repair your cafe, and the false version of you attacked them." The doctor says.

 

"What did you find out?"
I ask Rineth.

 

"W-why me...?" She cries, burying her face i her hands.

"Not much."

 

"I figured out a few things, but do you mind if I hold up a half-deal before we go back and talk?"

 

"Is there anyone you'd like to see that would make you feel better?" The doctor asks.

 

"T-the queen and king?"

"Go ahead. I had to trade a bead for the information."

 

"Okay. You can go back to the palace if you want, I'll just be a few minutes or so."
I say, walking in the opposite direction of the portal, looking around.

 

"Alright. See you there."

There's a few raptors watching.

 

"They're currently unavailable, though I'll see if I can arrange a time for you to meet them." The doctor says, leaving and closing the door behind him.

 

"Good morning."
I say to them officially, but continuing to walk.
