Status Of Wynncraft's Economy

I've just recently gotten back after a long break, and after deleting all of my 100+ classes and selling all of my items, I'm trying to start fresh (minus the 4 stacks of LE I have in my back, but am not going to use)... Before I left I remember everything on the Wynncraft item market being extremely inflated and the economy generally being.. terrible. Could someone tell me how the economy is doing now? I also wouldn't mind some tips on what is useful to know, and general information on trade and whatnot. Thanks~

there isnt enough money sinks, so there is more LE, so people can afford spending more LE, which means that people will sell stuff for higher prices
Economy prices in a nutshell:
More money around = higher prices due to people being able to sell stuff for higher prices since people can use more LE without getting poor
Less money around = Lower prices due to people not being able to sell stuff for higher prices since people cant use more LE without getting poor

 

I mean they sort of added a new one with Legendary island

 

Guilds destroyed the economy. The richer got richer and the poorer got poorer.

Yeah, I agree, I personally think that Legendary Island could be potentially a new money sink, to get people buying stats pots and entry tickets. I have already wasted 10 le on it lol with no rewards, but I still find it fun, so I like it :D

I'd say the economy is mostly just based on getting really lucky if you want to be rich. You can get buy just by selling average-id legendaries for 1-2LE in my experience. That's just for if you want to buy stuff like legendaries you ain't getting a mythic unless you find one.

 

This is why if mythics were more common the prices would drop . . . more people would have 1-2 mythics and be in middle class instead of rich and poor.

Honestly mythics fucked over the economy more than anything. Rem bought a cata for 20 stacks and a strati for 26. It's because of mythics.

They did add a lot of money sinks with corkus, so that hopefully helps a little. Anyway, legendary prices have shot down for a long time (ever since mythics came tbh). In addition to this, drop rates were buffed this fall. Kinda annoying that the market is 100% luck based.

Wynncraft's economy is fucked because of the lack of money sinks, The amount of emeralds entering the server is slightly higher than the amount exiting it, Which creates a situation where everyone has more emeralds, Meaning everyone could afford paying higher prices for stuff, So the prices of rare items such as Mythics go really high up to a level where only really rich people could afford them, Since the demand is very high and production is very low people keep outbidding eachother until there are only a very few left who could afford the wanted item, End of the story.

I wouldn't say that the economy is "Bad", I would say that it's unstable, I really do think people are over exaggerating the situation.
