Tool Wynncraft Item Name Display [mod]

Hello, I made this mod for myself because the wynn-enchanced mod had too many flaws for my taste, things I didn't like were:
- not being able to customize what items show and what don't show
- not being able to change color of item names
- unknown items weren't shown names at all

My mod fixes that and basically gives you ability to:
- change what item names are shown
- change their name colors
- reload the mod in-game, so you can test out colors


So, don't want the screen to be cluttered by names of emeralds? Don't want normal or unique item names to be shown? Then this mod will work fine! That is, if there are no bugs I didn't catch, that's why the mod is currently [Alpha-Public Test], which means if you download, you are testing the mod. I am not responsible for any losses you have if game crashes and so on.



Installation:

Download Link - mediafire

1) Put all contents of the rar file into your mod folder (yes both the jar file and the folder)
2) Use forge 1.10.2
3) That's it!

How to use:

Inside mods/WynnItemDisplay there's 2 text files: itemdatabase and itemfilter.
Do not touch itemdatabase file
Open itemfilter.txt and edit to change how names are displayed, when done click the button to reload mod (open controls, find wynn item display mod, see what button is and click it).

Now how to change the itemfilter.txt?

Simple, here's how 1 part looks like


"Color": "5",
"Show": "true",
"Type": "Mythic"

I have marked with green what parts you can modify.

Show: can only be true or false, if it's true, item name of that type will be shown in game, otherwise not.

Color is the color of the name, you can find color tags HERE.

Do not remove the " " around the text.



That should be it, I hope the mod works fine, otherwise either message me or post in the thread. Btw, do not message me if the mod crashes game on starting minecraft. That is probably because you messed with one of the text files required to run the mod.

I updated the mod so now it has automatic database updating, no more unknown items for gear i hope!

Oh yeah, and this mod is probably not compatible with wynn enchanced.

 

Have you tested the mod out while playing wynn? Because all of that boolean algebra could lag your computer.

 

I did, it doesn't seem to be laggy for me but you can try for yourself

I mean, this MIGHT work for older versions, but I would have to change the modinfo to allow 1.8.9 and the mod's main acceptedMinecraftVersions. It might not even work due to the differences between 1.10 and 1.8.9

May I inquire as to how you figure out what rarity the item is? is it a server thing?

 

Weird, my pc is 7 years old budget pc and mod isn't laggy for me.

Oh and i won't say how rarity is figured out unless it has been answered before

you just uploaded the jar without the database or filter files?
also, I would use dropbox or something if you're planing to frequently update the mod

 

Brainfart, i forgot to zip it all, fixed. I tried dropbox but i couldnt figure out how to set a folder to public or something so i just went to mediafire
