Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Not someone you should be scared of and directions to a kingdom."
I say, as I stop flying.

 

Onyx's ears lower, her tail curing around her.

"t-theyre not still here, are they?" Onyx asks fearfully.

 

"Rath'haga?" They ask, still suspicious.

"No, they left. Thank the gods..." They utter.

 

"Don't know. Heard there was a kingdom around here."

 

"w-what did they look like?" Onyx asks, still scared.

 

"Then yes, you mean Rath'haga. What will you do for me if I show you?"

"Blue hair, water magic user. Named Katie."

 

"Depends. What do you want?"

 

"What do you have you can part with or offer?"

 

"katie?" Onyx asks, her ears pricking up, "but...she couldnt pawssibly be the murderer! she doesnt murder people! she pets me nicely!"

Onyx purrs, thinking about Katie petting her.

 

"She kicked in my father's skull!" Another Anubis snaps.
"She ordered him around like a superior, and when he refused, she killed him!"
"No warning, just up and did it!" The group shouts.

 

"Food, possibly. Hunting, or mercenary jobs. Craftsmanship skills. That's just a few things, but when it comes to material items, I don't have much to offer."
I admit.

 

Onyx backs up, scared, her ears flattening against her head.

 

"Plate metal would be nice. Show me the armor, and I'll show you the kingdom."

The Anubi go back to bickering, mostly about how they should handle the situation if the group shows up again.

 

Onyx hides under a table, listening in on what the Anubi are saying.

 

"Pardon me? Armor?"
I ask.

 

"Our goddess has been gone for generations! We need to move!"
"No, we're so close to being able to build a surface structure! We'll strike them with the sun if they have the gall to come back!"
"Heroes my ass! They're just villans glorifying themselves..."
"No wonder my brother joined the Hive Master. If he comes back, I'm going with him!"
"I'd lose my free will before my life!"
"Hey, they did free a goddess..."
"Do we even know if that goddess is still alive?!"

"You can craft, no? Scrap plate would help keep the thorns off. No armor, no guide."

 

Onyx continues to listen, looking around the floor for any bits of dropped food, somewhat hungry.

 

"How long will you be staying around this area?"

 

There isn't any dropped food, but the arguing settles down.
Ali comes out of the back room.
"Hey, everyone. I have three favors from the shadows... if it comes down to it... I'll request her execution." She announces.

"Depends. If Akli'il's tribe comes this way, I'll be gone. Otherwise, I'll be around here."

 

Onyx looks back towards Ali with a look of shock, trying her best to hide under the table.
