Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The Anubi mostly ignore her, one petting her while trembling, traumatized.

 

The cat purrs, rubbing against the hand that pets her.

 

-wait-

"They've changed. Everything here is a monster. Even the most gentle creature was twisted into a razor-clawed abomination. The only society remaining is a kingdom that's eerily... mostly unaffected by it all."

The hand/claw keeps petting her, still trembling.

 

The cat purrs, looking up at the Anubi petting her cutely.

 

-waiting-

"Think we can make it to the kingdom?"

 

It's hard to tell gender, but their hound-like head is a bit offputting.

"I don't know where it is. Maybe one of the monsters will if we offer them a favor?"

 

The cat meows again, curious to see if the Anubi acts like a dog.

 

"Then let's find us some monsters."
I say, starting to walk at a quick pace.

 

It looks at the cat, unsure of how to react.

Rineth follows.
It doesn't take long to find one; a human-sized raptor like being seems to be watching from a thornbush.

 

"Hello."
I look at it and greet it, a bit unsure.

 

The cat just looks cutely at the Anubis, purring.

 

It looks at you strangely before darting off, gliding as it goes off a cliff/gaping mouth of something.

The Anubis, still uneasy, keeps petting her.

 

The cat stretches out, before transforming into what appears to be a human girl; though her ears and tail remain present. The girl wears a simple black shirt and trousers, with a light grey jacket on.

"hello!" Onyx says happily, sitting on the edge of the table, "why are you so furightened?"

 

I give chase, jogging, and looking off the cliff.

 

"What the...?"
"Where'd you come from, miss? And please, no laying on the tables, it makes things hard for the waitress."

The cliff is a gaping mouth leading to a long-dried out throat, but the raptor glides over the entire thing, continuing its sprint afterwards as it cuts down a 'tree' trying to block off Thirteen's path.

 

"oh, sorry!" Onyx apologises, getting off the table, "what happened? efurryone seems so angry and scared"

 

"Excuse me!"
I yell after it, flying after it, but not very fast.
"I just want to ask you something!"

 

"We just witnessed a murder."

It stops running after a while.
"What are you, and what do you want?" It snaps, baring fangs.

 

Onyx gasps, shocked.

"a m-m-murder?" Onyx asks nervously.

 

"One of our own, right here in front of us all. We invited them in to get out of the storm, and they repay us with a cold-blooded killing." They growl, clearly furious.
