How Do You Enforce "illegal Downloading Of The Map"

Obviously the people that are going to be downloading the map via custom mods to download cache are not going to be open about it. I for one hate servers and MMOs so I was looking into finding a map dl. I come across these posts of people saying its I L L E G A L to download :/. Really fkin stupid rule. I understand not wanting people to download it cause you make money off of it but there is no real way to enforce it without harassing suspects or putting in custom scripts to detect suspicious activity. WHICH can be easily worked around, so maybe embrace the fact that its easy to steal minecraft server worlds instead of scary away potential players.

 

or they could not make life a hassle for themselves. I think fi they let you download, legal stuff becomes more of a pain.

 

I never said make an open download lol. But by using a scare tactic doesn't really look that great for them. Also by calling it "illegal" makes it sound like there is actual weight behind it. But nah its just a ban, which people make throw away accounts all the time. Maybe just make it more of a Taboo thing but there is no way to enforce this "Law"

Do you know what VPNs and Router resets are? Getting around these issues is not hard, its just mostly kids play on these servers. I just use Minecraft to explore builds which is why I was intrigued by this map. But I have it now so whatever lol

 

So $26.95 for a legal, full access Minecraft account is enough to be considered a "throw away account"? Damn, didn't know people were rich these days...

That won't do jack shit for a server that runs entirely on plugins

 

For most servers, they don't like people downloading the map because its not there's to download, but for wynncraft, they don't focus that much on that side, the main reason why wynncraft doesn't like people downloading there builds is because majority of the time people download it to search for secrets in underground places and such.

 

Well we do ask nicely before turning to Mojang with our lawyers.

It's just generally a dick move to just download the map and what do you even want to do with it? Do a singleplayer roleplay with 9 year olds?
