Guide Fix For Logging Into A Wynncraft Server

Introduction:​

So most of us have experienced and are still experiencing some big issues while logging into wynncraft servers, and the most common problem seems to be the resource pack loading. Fear not my dear wynncraft players, as there is a way to fix this problem once and for all! For me it turned my load time from several minutes into only 5-15 seconds. This fix can be either permanent or one per time use for unknown reasons.

Explanation:​

So from what I've figured out so far, the bug is caused by the server checking if you already have the correct resource pack in your server-resource-pack folder. If the folder is full of resource packs (such as old versions of the wynnpack), the server is going to have a hard time checking all of it. This will often result into getting kicked from the server, and sometimes even completely freezing your minecraft client.

Guide for fixing:​

Fixing the problem is actually surprisingly easy, and doesn't require any additional software or brain capasity. Simply said; You need to empty your server resource packs folder. If you don't know how to do that, read it from the spoiler below:

1. Locate your ".minecraft" folder. This can be done by opening up windows manager and typing "%appdata%" (Without quotes) into the main box and hitting enter. Your ".minecraft" folder should be right at the top.


2. Open up your folder called "server-resource-packs" and delete all content from it. (Don't delete the whole folder! I'd also recommend you to take backup of it incase you do something horribly wrong.)


3. Now you're done! Enjoy logging into wynncraft faster and without getting kicked! Please do note, that the server will create a file in the folder that looks about like this (Pic below, name might be different depending on the version you're using). If you experience the bug on the next time, just repeat the steps and you should be fine!

You should also include something about creating a "server-resource-packs" folder if it doesn't already exist because the newer launcher crashes when attempting to download the resource pack if it isn't done.

Oh who am I kidding I'm doing this now.

 

That just means your loading time isn't caused by wynnpack problems

I don't know how an apple computer works but you can also go to your minecraft, options, Resouce Packs, Open Resource Pack Folder and then try going t0 the folder where the Resource Pack folder is in, there you'll find your ".minecraft" folder, then go to the Server Resouce Pack folder and then you'll be able to fix the bug too!

 

Is there a way to stop it from ever downloading the server resource pack?
