Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Why exactly won't I get theirs if I kill them all and raid their camp?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Because they don't keep it in their camp."

 

Crystal sets himself ablaze, trying to still move along while directing his shield more towards the beam.

 

"Ok, so what if I were to possess them, steal their knowledge, kill them and use the knowledge I have to find it?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

"You can do that?" Artemis asks, surprised.

"Well, whenever I possess someone, our brains sort of become intertwined, so it's just a matter of raiding their memories." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

He can't keep warm enough for much longer, and Rineth took the opportunity to roll out of his Crystal prison...

"That's insanely stupid, I'm warning you... You'll also become mindless like them. That's how we lost our old leader before the Cataclysm."

 

As a last-ditch effort, Crystal uses earth magic to launch the ground up around Linoa, trying to disrupt her stance.

 

"Why isn't murder ever the simple solution." Shadow Stephanie says, annoyed, crossing her arms.

"Gaia?" Artemis guesses, shrugging.

 

The Anubis looks at Shadow Stephanie, cross.
"You all like Abigail too?" She asks, concerned.

He can't move it far enough to knock her off balance.


The dome resets.
"You'll do just fine." Linoa says happily.

 

"Abigail's our friend." Artemis says.

"She's pretty cool." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

The Anubis falls silent.
"I meant, are you all as quick to turn to murder as she is?"

 

"No, I generally only kill those who I see deserving of death." Artemis says calmly.

Shadow Stephanie coughs nervously.

 

The Anubis seems nervous.
"Um... i-it was nice meeting you."

 

"It was nice meeting you too! Thank you for the tea." Artemis says, offering her (now empty) cup back.

"Yeah, thanks for the tea." Shadow Stephanie says, offering her empty cup back too, her red eyes seeming rather ominous.

 

The Anubis takes the cups back and heads back into the kitchen, fear in their eyes.

 

"This place seems nicer than the 'savage camp' at least." Shadow Stephanie comments.

"Yeah. Do you think you and Aj could lead when we're there? I don't think I'd really fit in." Artemis asks.

"Sure thing." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

 

The Anubis seems to be hiding in the kitchen, waiting for Shadow Stephanie to leave.

 

"Hey, do you want payment or anything for your tea? I feel like I should pay." Shadow Stephanie asks, heading into the kitchen.

 

"P-please leave..." They utter, scared.

 

"Oh, ok. Is everything alright?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"W-we're all pacifists... uhm... being in the p-presence of a killer i-is... uhm..." They stammer, peeking behind the island.
"N-nothing against you, b-but..."
