Build The Honey Hero Squad!

This was a small armorstand creation I threw together on Grian's plot server, and I depicted three little honeybee warriors on a little hive-castle structure! One mighty paladin, one vigilant defender, and one crafty mage, ready to venture out and save the whole world from pollution and the destruction of nature! I had a ton of fun designing them and their items/poses, and I'd love to draw more of them! Who knows where I might take this next!

Also, I was listening to a band called Coast Modern for the first time while putting all this together, and I think they're pretty good!

With the great big thing I'm eventually going to do with them, I'm going to move away from all this bullshit about puns, and focus on how vital bees are to the environment, how we're harming them, and what we can do to help. I hope to package all that in a video game. One day or another…

 

Oh god...

 

Yeah yeah, tru tru, without bees WE WILL ALL DIE. The main cause for decrease in bee population is insecticide, as well as preventing other insects from eating plants, the chemicals kill the bees, so they can't pollinate the plant, thus the plant eventually dies out as the toxins on its leaves kill an innocent creature. At least scientists are working towards making a bee-safe insecticide :D

 

It's also largely in part by humanity's raging desecration of the environment and making just about everywhere harbor unhappy conditions for bees. And I don't think that a "bee-safe insecticide" will work. We can't really have the best of both worlds. Also, the pesticide affecting plants, like you said, could be catastrophic in that it kills other bugs in contact with the plant.

Yeah, true, we can't really have the best of both worlds. But people really need to see that bees aren't just some black and yellow, stinging, winged insects.
