Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Xlentia tips her head back to aid.


"Aj went solo. I'd think you could do the same."

 

Upon reaching Xlentia's stomach, the water draws in Xlentia's stomach acid to form an acidic Katie.

"This is kinda gross." Katie says, looking herself over.

"At least you're not being digested right now." I comment.


"It's safer with Katie, though. I don't want to stop your heart." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Don't bring the stomach acid into my bloodstream. Luckily, you won't have to go far to get to where you're supposed to enter my bloodstream."


"Okay, good. You're not all on sugar highs."

 

"Where do I go?" Katie asks.


"I'd rather not be. As I remember I was so hyper I wanted to drink sugar water from your stomach. Like...what the fuck?" Shadow Stephanie asks, clearly confused at her own actions.

 

"Just past the stomach and shove yourself to the left. You should enter the bloodstream. To be safe, just stay on the left side of things and ditch the acid once you get close."


"Yeah. That's pretty much how I felt."

 

Katie follows Xlentia's directions, heading through Xlentia's stomach and trying to absorb any non-acidic liquids to replace her current form with.


"Maybe if I was like, Artemis or someone I would've tried to drink your stomach acid too. Ugh...god why did I think about that..." Shadow Stephanie says, grossing herself out.

 

There's not quite enough water to replace the acid.


"Shut up before I change my mind about letting you see Ihra."

 

Katie uses whatever water there is to ditch the acid, before shoving herself left and trying to get as much blood as she can to reform herself with.


"Alright, alright," Shadow Stephanie says, "How are Aj and Katie doing?"

 

There's enough water and blood to fill a lake with once Katie gets in Xlentia's bloodstream.


"They're..."
Xlentia shudders.
"...into the bloodstream."

 

Katie forms herself out of blood, before letting the bloodstream simply carry her around, knowing it'll take her back to the heart eventually.


"Must be paradise for Aj." Shadow Stephanie comments.

 

An hour later, seeming to have taken the long way, Katie finally reaches the heart. Ihra seems to by lying dormant in the middle of it, vessels of sorts anchoring her and seeming to feed her enough to keep her alive.


"Lets me track him, plus it tastes bitter, I've been told."

 

"Katie, do you think you stay here on your own for a bit?" I ask.

"I think so. Why?" Katie asks.

I leave Katie's body, immediately empowering Ihra instead.

"Ihra, it's me, Aj. Can you speak to me this way?" I ask in Ihra's mind.


"Huh. So if someone where to enter your bloodstream, you could easily find them?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"H-huh? Aj?! I-is it really...?" She asks.


"Yea- hrrn... what the hell is he..." Xlentia grimaces.

"The hell you doing, Aj?" Xlentia asks.

 

"Yes, though I think my time is limited. Answer me quickly, why are you here, what's keeping you here, and what can we do to get you out?" I ask.

"I'm empowering Ihra." I say to Xlentia.

"A-Aj, I'm struggling!" Katie says, struggling to keep herself in place against the flow of Xlentia's bloodsteam without my help.


"What's wrong?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

Katie finds the bloodflow speed slow.

"This is where the ritual took me... apparently freeing Xlentia meant being a part of her. I dunno how to get out." Ihra thinks.

"Then make it hurt less!"


"Aj is empowering Ihra and it hurts like hell."

 

"What's keeping you trapped in here?" I ask, lessening the power I give Ihra to try and make Xlentia's pain lessen.

"Is that any better?" I ask Xlentia.

Katie nonetheless struggles to keep herself in one place while retaining liquid form and letting blood flow through her.


"What's hurting? The power?" Shadow Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"My body is connected to Xlentia."

"Yes."

"Katie, consider going back out of liquid form."


"I don't know."

 

"So like...you sort of are Xlentia? Couldn't I cut you out?" I ask, "Or like, cut the parts of you connected to Xlentia while sort of taking their place, as empowerment goes. So if I were to cut off your arm, I'd replace it with mine."

Katie freezes herself, giving her stability but causing a slight blockage in Xlentia's bloodstream.


"Weird." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"If you cut me out, both Xlentia's body and I would die, I think..."

Xlentia doesn't mention it, so it can't be that bad of a move.


"Then again, it's creepy enough he asked to be swallowed in the first place."

 

"Hey, Xlentia, what would happen if I were to cut Ihra out?" I ask Xlentia.

Katie, given the opportunity, decides to hug Ihra.

"I hope you're ok." Katie says.


"God, tell me about it. It's weird when people ask Aj and I to swallow them." Shadow Stephanie says, sighing.
