Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I'd rather not be eaten, actually." Shadow Stephanie says, rubbing her head.

"I promise I won't mess around. I just need to do one thing," I say, "I can cover myself in like, sugar or meats or whatever if that helps."

"Are you feeling alright?" Shadow Stephanie asks, clearly not alright herself.

I whisper something to Shadow Stephanie.

"H-Holy shit, really?" Shadow Stephanie asks, before turning to Xlentia, "Can I volunteer to be eaten after Aj?"

 

She seems poised to pounce on him whenever there's a lapse in his attention.
Maybe this wasn't the best tactic...?

"Okay. Who's in my heart?" She asks bluntly. "Neither of you are going in."

 

Maybe, but Crystal decides that that's what he got and that's what he'll work with.
Crystal advances toward Rineth, keeping even attention.

 

Rineth keeps some distance, but doesn't go farther than the combined distance of Crystal's spear and his lance's reach.

 

Crystal continues to advance, preparing.

 

Rineth backs up, trying to lure Crystal below Linoa.

 

"Ihra." Shadow Stephanie says.

I think for a bit.

"I've got a plan." I say, opening a portal and quickly stepping through, returning a few moments later carrying a rather confused Katie.

"Aj, what are you doing?" Katie asks, confused.

"Katie, I need your help in order to get to Ihra." I say, putting Katie down.

"You found Ihra?" Katie asks, surprised.

"Yes, but in order to get to her, you need to be eaten by Xlentia first." I say.

"W-What? E-Eaten by Xlentia!?" Katie asks in disbelief and confusion.

"Ihra is inside Xlentia's heart, but since Stephanie and I are too large and cause disruptions inside Xlentia, we can't stay in there for very long. You however can simply turn into your elemental form. You can't be harmed by her stomach acid and you won't disrupt her bloodstream because you can become her stomach acid and blood. So, the plan is, you turn into your elemental form, I empower you, Xlentia drinks us, we get into Xlentia's stomach, I teleport us into her bloodstream, we swim to Xlentia's heart and we get to see Ihra. I'll be with you the whole time." I explain happily.

Katie takes a few moments to take everything in.

"So, you'll be with me the whole time, right? And it's completely safe for me if I stay in my elemental form?" Katie asks, sounding nervous.

"Yes and yes," I say, "You absoultely have to stay as a liquid, though. You can't turn into ice or anything else solid."

"Ok, let's do this. I want to see Ihra again, and I believe I can survive inside Xlentia." Katie says, trying to gather her confidence.

"I knew I could trust you, Katie," I say, smiling calmly at Katie before turning to Xlentia, "So, Xlentia, does that sound good?"

 

Crystal continues to advance upon Rineth, using one of his eyes to make sure that he's never directly below Linoa.

 

Xlentia just seems happy to see Katie.
"Hi, hon! Did you have a nice time with your parents?"

Linoa starts to prepare to drop down when she sees you're still watching, Rineth now feigning a few jabs and holding his ground to try and make Crystal make an uncalculated movement.

 

"Yeah. Mum's ship came back for her though, so she gave me a kiss goodbye before she went yesterday." Katie says innocently.

 

"That's good! Anyhow, um..."
Xlentia hesitates.
"I'll... I'll let you two try your plan, but under one condition; if you're not out in an hour, I'm going to run void energy through myself to get you out. I'll give you a fifteen and five minute warning to be fair."

 

"What's with the time trial?" I ask.

 

"You killed two hours in my heart the last time. You hugging Ihra so much halved my heart rate. I get she meant a lot to you, but killing my body, and by relation, her, isn't helping you any."

 

"Ok, but this time Katie's essentially going to be your blood. There won't be anything blocking your bloodflow, so your heart should operate normally." I explain.

"I guess I'll sort of have a presence within your bloodstream, but to an outside view, nothing will have changed." Katie says.

 

"Alright... how about this; hour starts when and if you hug her. Physical contact restricting her movement seemed to restrict my heart as well."

 

"Got it," I say, nodding and turning to Katie, "Are you ready for this?"

"I think so. A whale ate my trident one time, so I guess this is sort of the same thing?" Katie says, sounding slightly nervous.

"The worst thing that'll happen is you'll either become part of Xlentia's stomach acid or bloodstream for a bit and we'll have to try and get you out." I say, trying to calm Katie's nerves.

"Yeah...nothing that'll kill me, right?" Katie asks.

"Unless Xlentia has a tribe of warriors living inside her with flamethrowers, there's nothing that can really kill you." I confirm.

 

Xlentia opens her mouth, trusting.
"We talk via telepathy. Aj, you know the drill." She says to you and Katie.

 

Katie looks at me, and I empower her, growing a pair of Shadow Wings out of her back and flying her up into Xlentia's mouth. Once inside, Katie lies down on Xlentia's tongue, breathing out slowly as she focuses.

"Calm as a still pond..." Katie says to herself, focusing.

 

Xlentia makes a separate link to Shadow Stephanie.
"The time limit is really to make sure you get to go too, my girl." She says, content.

 

"If Katie's alright with it. I don't want to drag her around your insides if she's been traumatised." Shadow Stephanie responds.


Katie's body melts onto Xlentia's tongue, forming a dark pool of water in its place; as well as drawing some of Xlentia's saliva into it. The water slides to the back of Xlentia's mouth, before trickling down her throat.
