Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Nope."


No response.

The standstill continues.

 

Crystal advances quickly, trying to get near poking distance of Rineth.

 

"I think we honestly need to try and get into Xlentia's bloodstream. I don't know what else to do." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding defeated.

"Maybe a short range teleport could work?" I suggest.

"Alright, I'll stay here and try and stop Xlentia from throwing up or something if she does. You try and teleport outside of her stomach and see if you can get into a vein." Shadow Stephanie says.

"Got it." I say, teleporting to the closest patch of darkness outside Xlentia's stomach.


Abigail quickly runs into the palace, not wanting to annoy Xlentia.

 

Rineth rushes at Crystal as well...

Luckily, you find her bloodstream first try.
Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.

 

I decide to swim around Xlentia's bloodstream for a bit, looking for where the bloods going to try and find any blocks.

Shadow Stephanie, sighing, grabs some of the least-digested looking sugar in Xlentia's stomach and eats it.

 

Remembering to keep and eye on both Rineth and Linoa, Crystal gets ready for a strike by Rineth.

 

No blocks, but you find something strange as you near her heart. Like, some kind of parasite living in her.

It's all dissolved except for the one sugar cube she lucks out on.

Rineth instead spins his lance as he closes in, trying to throw Crystal off balance as Linoa prepares a spectral bow to shoot her staff at Crystal.

 

I decide to swim into Xlentia's heart, Shadow Katana appearing in my hand.

"Whoever, or whatever, you are, prepare to get heartbroken." I quip.

Shadow Stephanie lays back, staring at her surroundings as she eats the sugar cube.

 

Shadow Stephanie's just surrounded in sugar water.

As you get closer, even you can't see in this darkness...
There seems to be something, or someone, anchored in the center of Xlentia's heart like a holding cell.

 

Shadow Stephanie smirks, deciding to drink some of the sugar water.

"I'm so weird." Shadow Stephanie says.


I feel around, trying to figure out what's inside Xlentia's heart.

 

"Yes. Yes you are." Xlentia responds.


Whatever it is, it seems to weakly try to grab your hand.

"Aj... hey... what the hell are you doing there? If you so much as scratch my heart I swear your palace is gone!"

 

Shadow Stephanie laughs, summoning a small mug and scooping up some of the sugar water.

"Cheers to being weird." Shadow Stephanie says, laughing.


"Xlentia?" I ask, confused, "Why are you inside your own heart?"

 

Crystal blasts considerably large amounts of fire far in Linoa's direction. Getting more in between Lino and Rineth, he prepares for something to come through the flames, backing a bit out of Rineth's reach.

 

"Steph, more sugar incoming."


"I'm not."
The thing tries to pull you closer, though everything they do is weak.

Rineth throws out a tripwire as Linoa fires a wall of ice at Crystal, trying to force him into the trap.

 

"Aw, hell yes!" Shadow Stephanie says, hyper, "Hey! Hey hey hey, what if I were to like...stay in here?"


"Who are you?" I ask, resisting, "Hold on, give me a moment."

I decide to drink up some of Xlentia's blood, sucking it in since I'm surrounded, "Holy fuck this stuff is good." I say.

 

"Hey, get yourself together!" Xlentia snaps, her stomach rumbling again.


Your resistance makes them lose their grip, but they keep trying to grab you and pull you towards them.

 

Crystal jumps (not very high), and attempts to lodge his spear into the wall and to ride it out, as he focuses on Rineth.

 

"We could like, get you a boyfriend, but I'd be like a little voice inside your stomach telling you what to do...that'd be so cool!" Shadow Stephanie says, still hyper.


"What do you want?" I ask, instead trying to pull them toward me, "If you keep being so vague I'm going to stab you in the face."

 

The wall crashes into the edge of the dome, Rineth's lance coming down hard at Crystal's head.

"I'm going to barf the remains of your shadow crystal if you keep this up..." She warns, the sugar fluid starting to drain as the same acid that burned Aj rolls in.


You end up pulling yourself to them, and find yourself met by a hug.
This close to them, you can make out a few things... the only thing recognizable is a pink and blue robe amidst the total darkness.

 

Crystal instinctively shifts his head inwards, and then immediately shifts a spike out of his chest to try and hit Rineth.
