Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Furious, the Shadow leaps toward Sivius after getting up, trying to grab his neck.

 

In doing so, the shadow gets too close to Sivius' broadsword and its light energy, Sivius not bothering to stop aside to correct the rag's position.

 

The Shadow disintegrates into a small crystal as it gets close to the broadsword, the crystal itself clinking on the ground.

 

Sivius pauses, turns around, sheathes his rapier, picks up the crystal, and walks back to the Shadow Palace.

 

The guards open the gates for Sivius when he arrives, keeping watch for anyone trying to get in.

 

Sivius tosses them the shadow crystal.
"Prick was trying to kill a guardian for money. I need to talk to my lady again, if she's available." He says, straight to the point.

 

"Was it the air guardian who said you sent her, by chance?" The guard asks.

"Her majesty is currently reading in the library, if you wish to see her." The other guard says.

 

"Yes, it is. She worried you'd refuse her, so I told her to let you know I sent her. Prick practically killed himself on my broadsword. Don't shadows know to not hug a radiant blade?" He grunts.

"Yes, I'll head there, if you permit my entry. Thank you."

 

The guard just shrugs.

"Head on in." The other guard says, signalling Sivius to enter.

 

He nods, making a beeline for an elevator, then the library.

 

Sivius catches Abigail heading into the elevator he's headed to in nothing but a bikini.

"Oh, hey Sivius." Abigail says casually.

 

He doesn't seem to mind.
"Found the one?" He asks, holding off turning the last dial.

 

"What?" Abigail asks, confused.

 

"If you wish, I may provide scribes and sacrifices for you. Note how the scribes are not th sacrifices."

 

"Going swimming, or did you find the guy?"

She nods, seeming slightly more interested.
"How many?"

 

"Oh, as much as you'd like. Unemployment is quite high in some of the more outer regions of my kingdom. And I do still have some left over hostages."

 

"Being a god-king, there tends to be the fine print. So, what is it?"

 

"Oh, I was just going to go see the scientists in Xlentia's palace. Apparently they need to study me, so I thought going there fully armoured would be a little hard for them." Abigail says innocently.

 

"What for?" He asks, now curious. "I didn't know she was still researching since she perfected her prototype."

 

"So they can revive me easier, apparently. Katie told me." Abigail says, shrugging.
