"Stop!" Barks a deep voice from the rank. The newcomers stop.

A dwarf wearing an heavy iron armour and holding a hammer walks forward. "What have happened to the town?" He cries. "Why are you fleeing?"

"That's bad. Very bad." Emily looks at the boy. "He must have ties with the Witch somehow. Who is he?"

 

Rathius:"I don't know yet. I met him in Lasdor and after we left he hasn't talked to much."

 

"Right." Zeisha says. "You were unconscious at the time."

She sits back, and her express hardens. "The people who actually killed my family were the Witch's Cult, particularly a Sin named Envy; the Princess was framed."

She looks up. "I went to a bar in Ramentr, and met with someone who knew someone whose friend's brother researched about the Cult. I seeked him in Sarmir, but found that he has disappeared mysteriously, and that his body was found in the river.
"That took me a day and half. After that, I scored through his notes, which was most useful indeed."

She leans forward. "This is the interesting part. The Witch has been killed ages ago, before Nicolas Shade arose. Her body was burned, her ashes thrown into the sea to scatter endlessly.
"The Witch's Cult arose about thirty years back, when people started disappearing after catching a weird disease. Then people wearing strange robes and masks started to terrorize people on roads. The Aurallim army managed to make out in their chanting about 'the Calamity Witch' and the 'Seven Deadly Sins' before the cultists were killed. Those taken prisoners died instantly.
"When the Witch lived thousand years ago, she had seven powerful individuals who fought under her command. They were the original Sins. With that, the existence of a new Witch became clear, and new Sins started appearing."

"Who are the Witch's Cult, anyway?" Rathius asks them.

"We don't know yet: we are discussing it with others tonight, in audience of the king. You should come too." Emily says.

 

"Soo what you are telling me , is that there is a new Witch , as powerful as before , who made another seven Sins , and there is a chance to exist more people like the Witch? I traveled the world , seen many things , but hell , this is the most crazy , because it might be true . If i were to fight like i am right now , id certainly be another of those people who disappeared ; though , i think id be found dead a few hours later . Heh , what an happy thought ."

 

"No, you idiot. I'm asking for her abilities and the like. We aren't going to beat her by screaming that she can kill shit. That's obvious." Fen'ris says, growing a little impatient.

 

Zeisha shakes her head. "What's curious, is that there are only reports of six Sins abroad. Greed is missing: he/she hasn't appeared in front of anyone.
"Each revealed Sins have terrible powers. Wrath has a deadly raw power, as well as being able to control fire and chains around her. Lust can do some kind of Voodoo magic; she is able to hurt others by hurting one person. She also has energy blasts. Pride can possess people's bodies, so he can switch between bodies. He also grows stronger when he outmatches someone. Envy can transform into anyone, receiving the targets physical abilities, and some of their magical abilities. Gluttony just eats; he can consume anything, and pulls victims into his mouth with a force of wind. Sloth seems to be able to slow people down, making them vulnerable to attacks."

Jenna's eyes flash dangerously. "Watch it, child." She growls. "I mean what I said: every inch of Sylphaxaura is made for killing. She is faster than any man, and stronger. Her scythes cuts through almost anything. The end of her tail spews poison. Her shells aren't piercable by blades. She has no magic ability; none she have used 500 years ago."

"Better." Fen'ris snorts.

Luratos pats Jenna's head. "We can't kill her, that's obvious. We have the crystals that we've received from Lyndarl. We have to place the crystals in a circle around the monster, then the Feldurims will cast the spell. She shouldn't be as strong as she really is, as she have just awoken."

 

(Thanks for the description of the sins , i kinda needed it , to be fair i think everyone needed) "Any idea of what its power could be ? Like , i can see Envy taking peoples forms and others but what , i know this seems ridiculous but i can only think in Greed pickpocketing everyone . I need a drink after all that history , i need to calm down before having all this conversation again ; I just cant believe there is another Witch." I go buy a drink in the other side of the Inn and come back with a bottle of whiskey "You drink?" i offer Zeisha "Anyways , i am going to Jeymell talk to a friend ; Magic is important to an human like me survive in this war . I think of all the people ive seen since i came back , i am the weakest of all them . Then im going to Freelands , magic grows stronger there , thats what i heard." I look at my spear "Maybe even help myself and that thing" i murmur "Call me anytime if you need something , i still feel like i own you for the fight , 'cause i feel like i did quite some pain to you"

 

"What's to say she won't kill us while we try to place the crystals?" Fen'ris asks.

 

Rathius:"Yeah ofcourse. Kludrin already said he was thinking of reporting me to the king."

 

"You might as well. A dragon would be immensely useful against them. It could really tip the scales in our favor.
Having an epiphany, I look down. "Hmm..." I say audibly, before thinking to myself, "Hold on... Zeisha said that some cultists managed to disguise as the princess, but how? They may have illusionist or... Shape... Shifters... Do they have Kitsune or something?"

 

"It's probably destroyed by the fallen demon lord. And we're running from the same fallen demon lord. No one is in shape to fight that thing." I tell the dwarf.

 

"I'll take a sip." Zeisha says. She holds her hands out, and catches the bottle. She pours a little amount into a glass and sips it. "I find that having too much seems to slow my reflexes."

She waves her hand dismissively. "You don't owe me anything: I was the one who attacked you lot first anyways.
"And also," Zeisha looks at Tisaun. "Be careful in your trip to Jeymell. The Aurallians are dangerous enough for you; the High Elves, I heard, are really mysterious people. I would watch your back if I were you."

"She most likely will." Jenna says. "That's why we must be careful. A group must distract her while someone places the crystals."

Sylphaxaura turns her head at the group. She smiles, and clinks her scythes together. She starts ready to dash, her hind legs digging into the ground.

Emily sniffs. "Well. I'll go see the princess. So rest up in the infirmary rooms. I'll send someone down to your rooms to fetch you lot."

They thank the soldier, then to Darwin. Emily walks off towards the castle, and a nurse leads them down to free rooms.

"Zeisha will be coming back soon, I hope." Debulan says. "When she does, we'll hopefully have better informations on them."

An hour and a half later, when everyone is in one room discussing the Cult, a knock comes on their door.

The Dwarf snorts. "The Fallen Demon Lord has been killed in war years ago. A few explosives thrown into him by our machine did it."

 

"Clearly, you've never dealt with S class types, before... I've heard of these things having whole cities worth of rubble dropped on them and getting back up..."

 

*I look at the door*
Rathius:"Who could that be?"

 

"Why don't you just let me go, I mean no harm. That creature calls herself Lust and she attacked me so I fought back. You will probably never see me again as I roam the the lands looking for the magnificent winds to gain their wisdom."

 

"Plus, I threw a bunch of explosives on him. It did not work at all."

 

"I made it once when i was younger , cant be that hard now can it?" I say in a sarcastic tone , between a big sip of whiskey "I wish you good luck and , well , the High Elves are really strange people . You feel like you are being watched every step in their land , and you can feel that it is them , looking upon you , slowly making you come to them , even you dont know soo ." I have a chill "That sounded less creepy in my head . Waaaaaaaaaaaay less creepy . Ok ill get a room and go at morning . Good luck to you and your ... eeer ... Partner ." I say pointing at my head .

 

"Come in," I say to them, waiting for a response.

 

The dwarf purses his lips. "Who are you two people, anyway?" He asks, changing the subject. "You are no dwarf."

A boy opens the door. He announces, "You are called by Princess Remilia." The page boy says.

Asakeryu nods and stands up. "You will lead us...?"

The boy nods nervously. The monsters stand up and follow the boy outside, and into the castle. An air of nervousness settles around them: they were, after all, seeing the most powerful man in Rehniar. Staying with Remilia proved to be not so hard, as she and her Guards had an easygoing air.

Only Max seems unconcerned. Rathius narrows his eyes at her. She had terrible ADHD.

They come in front of a room. The boy bows and hurries off. "He was afraid of us." Rondach notes.

They enter the room. The Princess looks up from her desk. Emily and two other people are in the room. Lucifer isn't there.

"Good, you're all here." She rises. "I heard about you, dragon Rathius." She says to Rathius. "It is an honour to meet a dragon." She smiles.

 

"Well, that group best be moving now." Fen'ris says, running to the side.
